I love reading your stories, you guys are like Forest Gump, always being in the right place at the right time. Seriously, you must be good guys to be around because the Lakers organization always take time out for you. Are those stars always that generous with their time for fans or are you just irresistible? _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. |

You know, there are these things in the brain known as mirror neurons. Basically, it's been found that when observing someone else doing something interesting (eating something delicious, wearing something cool, Etc.), the mirror neurons in your brain fire off in the same way they would if you were actually experiencing the activity yourself. I think this is actually one of the reasons why we are all sports fans in the first place, because we get a vicarious thrill out of watching others do amazing things and win.
Thank you for posting these pictures, and telling your story. Thank you for getting those mirror neurons to fire. Since I haven't seen anybody else ask this yet, can I be the first to ask: Can I hang out with you guys the next time you do one of these finals trips? I have a feeling, next year if you want it, you can have a whole posse of guys there with you. (Maybe that will ruin the magic...no pun intended.) |

So true! I am so happy for you and your friend! A Laker dream realised. My only reaction to you is also from an old movie. "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!" I bow to you, 3_peat! _________________ "Time wounds all heels". -John Lennon |

It must have been about a good hour and a half or so into the party before we got in, so I'm assuming those guys were there earlier but left before we got there.
awsmori wrote: | congrats to you homie, man that kind of trip must be put on a movie or something...by the way are you by any chance half Filipino? |
Not half but full!
Thank you everyone for your kind words and appreciation. I immediately thought of my LG family as I was experiencing this once in a lifetime event. I figured all of Lakersground would be able to feel and truly understand my excitement, and I'm glad I was able to share it with each and every one of you. Enjoy the summer, and hopefully we'll be doing it again next year!!! _________________ "Magic down the middle, just what I thought, a hook shot of 12....GOOD!!!!" - Chick Hearn

Yo Turo...I love this story. You know I really wanted to fly out with you and OA for the "Cloud 9" Lakers experience, but prior commitments would not permit. Maker sure to include me in an MIC adventure next playoffs/Finals!
Oh yeah, and I had a blast with you and the rest of our Crew at the Lakers parade and celebration at the LA Coliseum. I'll upload the pics so you can post on LG.
