I was actually thinking what the furthest degree of separation from the Lakers org I'd be comfortable with Rambis having while still being hired in some capacity... for a quick moment I thought "Hey, he'd be great back on Sportsnet!" But then remembered where the last two Lakers coaches came from.

I don't even want him back as an assistant now. Just thinking about all the previous opportunities Rambis has been given to succeed by the Lakers while dealing out scraps to others like Coop and Kareem who waited years for opportunities to break into the NBA coaching ranks that never came.

If he was being considered based on merit, which technically he has through years of lead assistant coach roles, fine, but I doubt that. |

I think she will make it happen
I do recall Kurt working well with Shaw as assistants to Phil.
To Luke though? I don’t know.
Think Luke should get his own staff and think of more GST type assistants than Phil Jackson. |
