Reports seem to indicate that barring a trade one of these two guys will be our last big man added to the roster. We don't have room for both, so which one would you choose?

Corie Blount
http://www.basketballreference.com/players/playerpage.htm?ilkid=BLOUNCO01

Positives
-Can play Center or Power Forward
-Good rebounder
-Played in the tri before

Negatives
-Didn't play last year
-Limited offensive skills
-Not a great shot-blocker

Vlade Divac

Positives
-Excellent passer
-Good for chemistry
-Would make a nice teacher for our young bigs

Negatives
-Horrible defender
-Injuries/Age
-Can only play limited minutes

Blount can play more than 2 minutes a month, right?

I pick Blount.

Remember how well Vlade played with Kobe at the end of last season? If Vlade is healthy enough to play he would be my choice.

But two offensive minded only PFs are redundant. I would take CB has well and move either Cooke or Slava to give us a more balance at the PF position.

I'd take both Vlade and Blount and dump Stiffadenko for a big bag of assorted used socks.

I don't disagree with any of you what you said about Vlade, but I just don't think he is healthy enough to play. If so, it would be a no brainer, but with doubts about his health I pick Blount.

Vlade's statements are those of someone who is about to retire. It's not really an either or proposition if Vlade can't play. Blount can at least provide some backup minutes to avoid pressuring Bynum too early.

A healthy Vlade, anyday. If Blount is all we can get then I guess I will welcome him with open arms.

I would take Vlade if healthy. Blount would be a good veteran big to help our bench

where is the choice for neither? If the lakers have interest in either of these two guys then our off season is definately done.. I ask once again how can the most prolific franchise in sports history be run by Mitch kupcake?? i honestly think Mitch is afraid to do anything..

To me, Vlade is not an option, I just don't see him playing this year. So Blount by default.

If Vlade is healthy, he's the guy. BUT it doesn't seem like he'll ever play again - and certainly not like he's even thinking about training camp. Therefore, if Blount is healthy, at least he's a veteran back up big man with more physicality than either Slava or Cook.

Blount isn't setting on the world on fire, but at least he is physically able to play. Can't say the same for Vlade. It's a choice of 12 minutes of average play from Blount or Vlade as a cheerleader on the IR for more than a few games. Vlade can still be a cheerleader for the team without taking up a roster spot.

I'll take this option.

If it has come down to this we might as well suit up Kareem.

Either if added will be for team chemistry reasons.

Vlade
- Unselfish and great passer
- Very good morale in the lockerroom
- Good leadership skills and wants to coach, so will gladly tutor Kwame on high post passing

Blount
- Triangle experience
- Veteran that won't need coaching and is going to help the Triangle execution in practice/scrimmages.

I think if i had to choose - i go with Vlade. But neither of these would be roster impacting moves. It's mostly for team cohesiveness/triangle knowledge if you ask me.

Vlade without doubt!.......

Wolfpaclaker expressed it perfectly................

- Unselfish and great passer
- Very good morale in the lockerroom
- Good leadership skills and wants to coach, so will gladly tutor Kwame on high post passing .....

...........................................................................................................

With Blount I can only think.... "How could we have come the this point"?

......Ok back to "dreaming" about a KG pick-up......
