He played PF at NC State. Since I am a Duke fan, I got to watch him play a few times. He is undersized, I think only around 6'9", but he plays hard all the time. He knows how to use his body and get good position. He is not very athletic, but he does a good job getting good position to get rebounds.

He could definitely develop into a decent 4th, maybe 3rd big man on the depth chart.

Did we invite him to SL from the unpicked Draft pool?

If not when did we pick him up?

Diamond in the rough

The next Chris Bosh

All star with HOF potential

If he doesn't make the team, I'm going to kill a whole bag of small kittens.

Upside: Tim Duncan, but only with better speed and athleticism.

Downside: Double agent for the North Koreans, stealing nuclear weapon secrets and wiping out all of humanity.

Ben McCauley
6-9 237 from NC State
Pittsburg Post Gazette 2005 HS Player of the Year
Averaged 12.4 pts, 7.8 reb & 2 assist per game senior year at NCSU.
Suffered junior year when coach decided to make JJ Hickson focus of the offense (players refered to it as the "feed Hickson" offense) and from poor PG play (not good distributor) his senior year. Works best in a cutting motion offense where he can pass and make jump shots rather than a tradional low post power forward offense. Fundamentally sound but not especially athletic.

Listed as a C in the Box Score, but his profile shows he is 6-9, though NBA.com says 6-8.

In my honest opinion, Mcauley looks like a future All-Star to me. He plays a lot like David West in my opinion, except better. Maybe we can steal him for 4 years 15 million?
