So I started smoking hookah recently and I admit I am getting pretty addicted to it. I've been to a small number of hookah lounges so far in LA and my favorite ones are: The Spot in the Valley and Hookah Lounge in Glendale. I am not a big fan of the two in Westwood.

What about you? What are some of your favorite hookah lounges in SoCal?

To be honest they are all the same, for the most part, some will be different as far as the scene, but they all have the same flavors for the most part. It's best to buy your own hookah. And how do you become addicted to Hookah?

So do they use non-tobacco substances to avoid the smoking ban? Wouldn't that be like serving just baking soda in a crack house to avoid drug laws?

No it has tobacco in it, but its pretty mild, from what I understand which is why I don't really understand how you can become addicted to it... I have never heard of anyone becoming addicted to hookah, but oh well. And I think its different because tobacco or cigarettes or anything of the sort is not illegal just in public establishments, but I think when the attraction to the public is to smoke in doors is the attraction then it's legal. Or they say its a private establishment with an entrance fee? I don't know, really.
