Downtown/Uptown Shannon Brown is GOD AWFULLY CLICHE. That's like nicknaming someone named Will "the Thrill". Or calling a guy named Dan "Danimal". Or a chick named Ashley "Smashley".

It makes me cringe every time I read a thread like this. Please stop.

Seriously, why do we need all these threads for nicknames? Also, a good nickname can be substituted for the whole name. Example: instead of saying Earvin Johnson, you just say Magic. Instead of Kobe Bryant, Black Mamba, triple ocho, etc. (although I prefer just Kobe).

Downtown/Uptown Shannon Brown just takes too long to say. As much as I dislike Shamwow, I think it's more suitable than a nickname that involves his whole name to be said along with it. Simply saying Shannon will do!

I dont know about a nickname. But cant you imagine Shannon throwing it down and then Stu saying during the replay, "Shannon Brown! What can Brown do for you??!!"
