Moore fouled Kobe on the jumper, that's why it was short, but the Lakers didn't deserve to win this game. That said, they almost stole it until Sasha decided to flop and give them 2 free points.

yep we had lamar and gasol guarding the basket on that possession i'd rather take my chance there than drawing an offensive foul on k. martin. sasha also screwed up on that fast break with kobe on his left instead, he took in on his own and came up nothing.

No individual player cost us the game. The entire team sleep walked through the 1st half and THAT cost us the game. If we had made a commitment on the defensive end from start to finish we win this easily.

What the hell? Gasol was one of the bright spots out there tonight.

Was Kobe injured or something? He seemed very reluctant to shoot in the fourth, and never even tried to take over like last time.

for real? 4 turnovers, 9 of 18 shooting which is mediocre at best for a big. I know the points look good but it's not just about points.

Right. Blaming Sasha is a weak cop out. The entire team gets equal blame for tonight. Against such a sorry opponent, we should never have been in the position that we were in during those final seconds to begin with.

Laker defense is disappointing.. they have become fat and happy without even accomplishing anything.. our PG play is a cause for concern.

and I'm tired of Phil's last second plays, especially with LO inbounding. Does it even matter what play he draws if the lakers can't inbound the ball properly and Kobe has to get the ball way out? If it's not done right, it brings the entire team down and you see a fadeaway jumpshot.. spacing just isn't all that great. Kobe will see LO's man as the second defender and you don't want that.. you want a smaller guy as the second defender, if that. too bad he isn't a Horry-type who can also hit the three giving that space.

Gave up 71 points in the first half.

43 in the second half.

Sloppy offense and lackadaisical defense led to obviously far too many points in the first half. They picked it up in the second half and played closer to their defensive ability, just couldn't get the last stop or two.

exactly, usually the inbounder is a threat to take that last second shot, but everyone on the kings team knows lamar is the exception therefore they packed in on kobe and left lamar wide open beyond the arc on that last play. we'd be better off let radman or sasha taken ball out of bound.

and I don't trust Vlad or Sasha in that situation either.. but, yeah both are better options than LO.

Phil really needs a new last second play. He's been running the zipper since forever and I can't recall the last time it work. I was impressed by Dunleavy's call on the final possession that got Mobley a wide open three in the corner last night. And we can't blame Sasha for this loss. Without him the game wouldn't have even been close. He took the blame for the loss in the interview but the entire team is so blame.

A game the Lakers should have won. Too many turnovers, too lax on defense. Kobe shot short at the buzzer. Good to comeback from 17 down at one point, but the wide open lane and easy baskets the Lakers gave up were the doom.

Oh well, exciting as it was, it was a loss. The Lakers will probably lose some more games down the stretch.

Just don't lose the last game in the playoffs.

I trust vlad and sasha...both of them have made 3s to win games...vlad did beat the kings at the buzzer last year.

You don't win the ring without playing defense. Queens were physical and we do not have an answer.
