D. Fish will always be appreciated and considered a Laker in my eyes. It's always sad to see a long time Laker leave (w/ exception to Luke Walton), but if it truly proves to be for the greater good of the franchise, then I'm all for it.
Realistically, if Portland hadn't have backed out of the 3-team trade, we probably would've been looking at Sessions, Eyenga, & Beasley on the Lakers, w/ Fish slated to back Sessions up. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...
Time for the Lakers to create a whole new legacy! We want 10 more trophies boys!
yeah, it's kinda bittersweet. Fish is one of the most stand up guys we've ever seen. Gotta appreciate that.
There should be an LG Derek Fisher avatar movement in light of this, just as a small thank you for what he's done for us in the past. anyone with me? _________________ Follow me on IG! @qwanbruhh
Outstanding leader.
Clutch.
Had Kobe's respect/ear.
Winning attitude.
I'll miss you. Should have kept him for the bench and to have experienced guard play for the playoffs. And oh ya, for that leadership and Kobe respect factor.
Fisher was responsible for two of my favorite memories as a Laker fan, thanks Fish. I also never stopped thinking that without you, we wouldn't have needed those last minute miracles. I hope Fisher coaches some day, he'd make a great coach. _________________ Kobe, on the other hand; RELISHES the injuries and just looks at it as evening the playing field.
Fisher will always be loved in LA. He is a Lakers legend. I don't necessarily think that love would have been continued much longer if he stuck around and continued to hurt the team out there. In the end I think this trade it will be the best possible outcome for both parties involved.

Wow, and I just realized that Fish will have his shot at payback next week 3/20 when our Lakers go to Houston. Hope he doesn't all of a sudden find his "youth" , play lock down D, and catch fire from 3. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

I'm going to miss you DFish. You, Eddie Jones and Kobe were the first Lakers I've seen when I was a boy during the mid-late 90s. You've definitely made your mark as one of the most outstanding Lakers and deserve to be right up there among the Lakers' greatest. Thank you and I wish you all the best! _________________ Pancho's Happy Bottom Riding Club

Fisher was our modern day Michael Cooper. There's no way we win 9 chips w/o those two. If there's ever a time the great Lakers organization breaks the rule of only retiring hall of fame jerseys, Cooper and Fish should be the first 2 in line.
Hearing Fish not being able to talk to reporters after the trade went down only conjures up memories of him getting choked up after Game 3 of the 2010 Finals. One can imagine how sad he must feel at this moment.
Derek Fisher will always be one of the Laker greats in my eyes.
I've been very critical of Fisher's play, for obvious reasons.. but I'm very grateful of his comeback to the Lakers. Thank you for the leadership you brought since day 1 and your gutty play in game 3 @ Celtics and that rigged game 4 @ Orlando... May peace be with you and your family. _________________ 60!

DFish didn't deserve the bench -- This way we will always have known DFish as the Lakers starting PG --- He'll be back in the Lakers org in one fashion or another.

Say what you want about Fish's production, but the dude is a pro, period. I'll never forget all the clutch performances and the lil things like crying when the lakers got eliminated in 03', the stare of Death at the ESPYs,etc.
Pour some out for El Presidente. _________________ *sighs*
