That's my bday!!! I hope it brings us some good luck. I'd like to remind you guys that the last person to be signed to the Lakers on my Bday was a guy by the name of Kobe Bryant.

Yay me!!!

Now a few teams have rebuilt around the draft. Lakers are very expensive but lack youth and athleticism. We'll see what we end up doing as far as FA's are concerned but it beginning to smell like the actual core team will stay, we'll see.

Less than 11 hours now.

Going to be exciting few days as a Laker fan. I expect to hear a lot of but why didn't the Lakers get this guy ... but as a NBA fan it's a fun time to see player movement.

From the impact FA's/all-stars.

Looks like KG and Deron are staying in Bos/Byn. Duncan will definitely stay in SA. Eric Gordon is probably going to be re-signed (or NO matches any deal). Although I wonder if a team offers him the max, if NO matches.

Nash is the biggest name on the move, it seems. Definitely looks like he is done in Phx.

In next post I'm going to make a FA list for those interested of the top 10 at each position.

i expect every FA to be linked to us... the sad thing is 95% of those rumors will be manifested by the player's agent in order to get better offers... happens every year...

If the Lakers could get Jason Kidd for the MMLE, I'd jump on that. He's still one of the best passers in the league. His 3 point shot is far more reliable than years ago. He's able to defend most 2's or slower bigger PG's (think Andre Miller).

I think he makes us a smarter team, better passing team and gives us some versatility/flexibility with how to play Kobe (Kobe can slide to SF).

I'd actually bring him in as a 2, not a 1 but I'd also use a Kidd/Kobe backcourt at times.

Sessions/Kidd/Bryant/Gasol/Bynum

He's definitely worth the MMLE to me. Not a penetration threat, but think about when LA faces zones or when we play playoff games and how important it's to have a ballhandler who makes the right play at the right time. Have Kidd in the clutch portion of those OKC games, not sure we makes those same silly TO's.

I am hearing Deron Williams and Jason Kidd are a package deal. They will end up on the same team. It will be Brooklyn or Dallas.

Wolfpack, maybe you could do a list of the bottom 10 free agents at each position so we could see some guys that we will realistically sign
