I want to celebrate Morris! Anybody with any kind of basketball understanding knows Morris has all the physical tools to be at least, a good point guard.

Morris played within himself tonight AND played a smart game. His only fault is his awareness. But the boy has game! I am happy for the kid and I hope he keeps this type of steady play up! GO SPEED RACER GO!!!!!

So essentially when Morris doesn't dribble he actually can be a good player.

Anybody with any basketball knowledge knows consistency is what determines if a player is good or not

He couldn't even play consistent for 2 halves of one game

Please stop this right hereā€¦ Morris went scoreless for 4 games that says more about his game than one half of basketball

Anyone with basketball experience and knowledge can see that

He is better than duhon, but it's too soon to call him a "good point guard".

Off guard. He looks horrible when he handles the ball.

Darius is a year or two from being a good point guard. He misses so many shots that are actually good/open shots, when he nails down which moves work for him and which don't those shots will start going down. his defense is already there, he just has to work on finishing and making better passes.

Typical analysis after 1 good game. Consistency is key when talking about someone being "good" at anything.

I wonder how you would feel if some random nobody came to your place of employment and started telling you how bad you suck? Odds are that you don't have a job and spend most of your time playing Modern Warfare 3 with one hand and "enjoying yourself" with the other while your mother supports your entire existence.

If you can't come up with something more substantial to offer besides "player x sucks" just do the board a favor and don't post. Thx!

I like him better than Duhon because he's more athletic and attacks the rim more often, puts some pressure on the defense.

Dribbles is one of the worst PGs in the league. He looks good at times because Kobe gets him wide open shots.

I agree with you for the most part. I think he closer than you think though. Only time will tell. He has ALL the tools. I hope he builds off this game. It would be beneficial to the team and to his confidence as well.

If this was his rookie season I'd be encouraged from what I've seen, but it's not.

He's surpassed my (meagre) expectations in most games he's played, so props for that, but still has had some nasty performances as well. Hopefully he can develop as I like his defence and he adds some pace from the bench. Plus, while he overruns with the ball far too much, he does at least have some handles, he just needs to make his mind up before making his move.

you're going to far.

morris did what any of us could do with professional training, playing with and against pros for 2 years straight. eventually , at some point, we would have a break out game and our shots will fall.

but beyond that. morris isnt halfway to being an average pg. i like his man defense(team defense not so much). i'm happy he got a career high tonight. but i refuse to fool myself. now if he does this again , then again, then again, then again, then again.. then i'll believe he's a pretty good scorer off the bech, still not a good point guard to setup guys.

No he is not a good player.

Lakers fans keep having this fantasy of discovering a diamond in the rough. When was the last time we've ever had a late round draft pick or underrated player become a good player on our team?

Last guys was a guy by the name of Nick Van Excel.

Every other pick has sucked and they will continue to suck.

Sun Yue, Joe Crawford, Devin Ebanks, Derrick Character, Morris, Goudelock, Sacre, etc. etc. etc.

JUST STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
