Man, LG nearly bringing me to tears today.

Luca was a valued member of the community here. I loved reading his insights into the team and all things Lakers. He will be very, very much missed.

I'm always heartened to at least hear that LG has been a source of solace for people during tough times. I'm glad he could follow the team here even with his health issues. He was beloved here.

Much love to Luca's family.

I apologize for posting here, but I can't create my own thread. I just want to let people know that Luca Brasi passed away eight weeks ago. He had some health problems, and his body finally gave up. My dad was a good man and had a good life. He will be missed. My son turned him on to this site and showed him how to use it. When dad was laid-up in bed, following the threads and interacting with other Laker fans was one of the few things that made him smile. I don't know if he told anyone, but he and Dr. Buss were good friends. They both loved cards, and of course, the Lakers. They met back in the 1970s when Dr. Buss bought some property dad owned. Both are now up there in the great Forum in the sky laughing, playing cards and making fun of the Celtics. Thank you all for befriending an old Laker-man. Tony

So sorry for your loss. He was one of my favorite posters here. He will definitely be missed.

May he rest in peace with his old Laker buddy.

Like everyone has said he will definitely be missed. I even posted a couple weeks back wondering where he was and hoping it wasn't the health issues.

PM'ing him was awesome and he'd always take the time to respond and drop some knowledge.

My prayers go out to his family. Thanks for all your posts and insight LB

I'm shocked. My condolences to his family and friends.

He was one of my favorite posters. Whenever he had something to say, it was a must read. It didn't have to be "insider" info. Just his passion and love for the Lakers was enough to make him one of the most valued members of this board.

I'll definitely miss seeing his posts. He's in a better place now watching the Lakers from the best seats in the house.

RIP and thanks for this ... you did NOT have to take the time, even 8 weeks later to do this. Prayers for you and your family. Hopefully the Lakers can provide you both with some relief this year
