We still have a couple more hours of work we are doing and then the site speed should pick up. |

No problem, we can live with a little slowness, the payoff will be worth it. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

It didn't help. The site get flagged as "Not secure" for some reason. |

Is there a mention of a security certificate not being trusted when it throws the error? |

It could be conflicting with some plugins, but I haven't added anything new the last couple of days. Weird. |

This site is not secure, and has not been for a while (maybe forever?)
Mods/DB - any plans to install an SSL certificate? It's one thing to lack security on a site that is purely informational (and just suffer the SEO hit) but it's another thing on a site like this where users actually do login and submit confidential credentials...
Silly as it may be to some, that is something that's kept me lurking and not logging in for a while now...
P.S. I am loving the upgrade with the new hosting provider. Thank you all for your hard work! |

Yes, you can actually go to:
https://forums.lakersground.net/viewforum.php?f=1
...and see the secure site. We're currently in transition with everything. Just the upgrade to the next level of phpbb is complicated with a forum our size. |

I had some weird network problems too.
Fir some reason, Bitdefender updated and decided it was time for a hard lockdown for all my internet activities. It would NOT even let me log into Facebook. It had locked me out of my own sites. Absolutely ridiculous.
So, I uninstalled it and switched back to using Windows Defender.
Even after that, I was unable to load your site because, apparently once your DNS gets wind of a 502 error you have to reset your winsock network setting on your PC to get rid of it. It's like an extra hard cache. Simply clearing your cache won't always fix the problem. I did that, turned my computer off and just opened it back up and viola!! I can see you guys again. I was going crazy not being able to log in. LOL!!
Tell Squiggy, I just need one more fix man!!! _________________ Never argue with stupid people! They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!! - Twain |

I just noticed that when I switched to https it was secure on the login, but then as soon as I replied to a thread I went back to Not Secured pages.
That said, I'm excited for the site! Leveling up for the coming season! (whatever happened to us being able to donate from Kobe's final year that we never paid because of some problem with PayPal?) |

Hard to say. We're having difficulties converting the data to the upgraded phpbb version. |

I'm only in Chrome. You guys can log on with other browsers from the same device without issues? |

Login glitch, takes 2 attempts to login. Sends you back to home page still thinking you haven’t logged in yet _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview |

I only use Chrome also. Sometimes it randomly works. I notice if I am not logged in I'm able to browse the forum normally (usually). But if I have to login to post something, right after I hit the submit button I get a "502 Bad Gateway" white screen. Then I'll click my LG bookmark to get back to the forum and it'll load the lounge fine. I'll notice my post actually went through because the top thread will show "last post by Ziggy" or whatever. But no matter what link I click on I get the "502 Bad Gateway" page. Then I have to log out again. This is what happened right before I had to log in to type this post. I'm sure when I click submit to send this post I'll get the same white screen again and will have to log out. |

This hasn't been happening for me anymore. But it won't remember me. I need to log in every time I visit.
And each thread is marked as read. I can't see any new posts because it thinks I have seen them all already. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.
