On offense Marc is a better fit.
Let’s see if we can get him.

Losing Dwight was a blow to the D, but Marc can’t be taken out of games the way Dwight was for his offensive limitations

Let’s see if we can get him though

He will probably be the back up C, we will likely either get Ibaka or TT to start at C with the MLE.

ESPN's RPM indicates that he had a solid 2019-20 season. Link. Unlike the Lakers, Toronto didn't have two "generational" superstars leading the team. They couldn't afford to have "middle of the pack" starters.

So after 12 years trading him and Kwamay Brown for his older brother...

He manages to find his way back here.

Good replacement for Dwight if it happens. There's no one out there who's better.

Not too thrilled about Dwight leaving but Marc is a better post presence, better shooter (Midrange, 3's, and FTs), and much better passer.

Dwight is the better rim protector and hype guy though.

We are already going to be elite on offense with Trez and DS. If we pick up Gasol I don't know how teams are going to stop us

He would be ideal to defense jokic, I doubt he comes for minimum. He complements trez well too

Trading McGee and a second round pick to a third team or directly to the Raps would be a play to make here.

Something like Gasol signs for 4-5M.
Raps know he is leaving so gets assets back.
Either the second round pick and McGee.
Or a TPE from a third team, which gets McGee and a pick.

Gasol is the best on offense. Can not only shoot from outside. Has a post game. And is a skilled passer.

Baynes has the motor and outside shot.

Can’t see Baynes for the vet min, though.

Probably Thompson is a guy that could take a pay cut and play in LA due to Klutch. And also having connection to Bron, and being connected to the Kardashian clan. Although the latter is a reason I want to stay clear of him.

I would think none would even entertain a vet min
Marc Gasol seems like he lost his desire to play after winning the chip and was just going through the motions this past season to pick up his last (HUGE) paycheck. Wasnt he trying to retire from the NBA and just play with his team in Spain?
I doubt a vet min is enough to change whatever his plans fresh off his 113M contract

Marc would be great. I think He would be motivated to win for his original and his brother’s team. Amazing playmaker from post , score from anywhere and high Iq for both sides of the game.

we need at least 1 big body that is hard to back down for Jokic and Embiid. I'd take Marc. Can spread the floor, make his free throws, can still block shots, great passer. Just not a great rebounder.

Love seeing that we got two hustlers in Schoeder and Harrell. Gonna be fun to watch.

I’d love Gasol but I think he’s going back to Spain. I’m also curious if Ariza is bought out. He’s a guy we must bring back!!!

He is not. The season already started in Spain 2 months ago.

I thinks this would be a good signing. Limiting him to 20mpg and matching him up with the other teams' 7 footers.
