I am so happy for her. She kept her head down and ignored all the BS. She was proven right and I am glad she is the Governor of the organizaiton. Dr Buss made sure of that for a reason

She is the Anti-Jim Buss.
Pelinka is the Anti-Mitch.
Linda is the Anti-Chaz.

Doc rewarded his daughter's loyalty and devotion. Jeanie was his knee baby. She was in it with him from Day ONE, at great personal sacrifice. She never married, never had kids. She was 100% about her dad and the Lakers. While her brothers were off blowing their trust funds, she built up the Lakers with her father, brick-by-brick. Now Dr. Buss, like most men, wanted his sons to carry on the family business, and he pretty much forced Jim into the fold. But at the end of the day, it was Jeanie's team to lead. And she earned it.

She took so much heat the last few years.
The names she was called were not only disrespectful and sexist, they were flat out wrong.

Balmer can act like a clown and get respect from some Laker fans but Jeanie was being touted as this Phil Jackson groupie who had no clue what to do with her franchise.

Sure mistakes were made. But she had that mamba in her. She took advice from Phil, advice from Magic, from Kobe. Between just those 3 greats, you have 16 rings won (If you take into account Kobe won 5 with Phil and not double count). All of them told her to clean house and do things different. She took some time, but she got it right.

Well done, and thanks, Jeanie. Thanks for rewarding me for supporting you over Jimbo.

She was married, but (her words) "I never put my marriage first . . . it was always business which attracted me."

That's a common trait in high achievers. They put career above other stuff. It can be lonely . . . but also satisfying when success hits.

Wow...I totally forgot she had tried out the marriage thing. Yeah...that was non-starter.

Jeanie Buss is the governor and controlling owner of the Lakers. She is the first-ever woman owner to win an NBA championship.

Took Jimmy 5 years to never reach the playoffs.

Took Jeanie 2.5 years to win a ring.

Facts dont have feelings.
