This Lore Series concept is really growing on me every year.
Individually, not a fan of any of these jerseys except for Kobe’s Black Mamba edition. But as a collection I am loving it. It is awesome that each of our hall of famers in the rafters gets to have their own. A decade from now we can collect them all like Pokémon, including the Lebron, Pau Gasol, and hopefully Anthony Davis editions.
If I were to rank them so far I think I go
Kobe
Elgin
Shaq
Magic
Hope they do Shaqnosis jersey, I miss those shoes (the pump after that too!)
Both jerseys officially revealed. The blue one is beautiful, but the Wish patch sucks, though
Wtf. I hate that they added “shopping.” Looks terrible. I didn’t notice it until you called attention to it so hopefully it’ll be fine but damn.
You’re telling me the Lakers can’t get a different sponsor??
Wish apparently paid $14 million last season for that spot. Which is also apparently the highest amount of money an NBA team has received on an ad on their jersey.
Please correct me if I’m wrong though, but that’s what I heard recently. If I had it my way (to pick a different sponsor, obviously I would prefer nothing but you know what I mean), I would have chosen In N Out. Makes the most sense I would think.
Nice to see them paying tribute to the old Lakers jerseys and Elgin Baylor.
Elgin Baylor was the LeBron before LeBron.
It’s a shame he retired the year before the Lakers won what would have been his first ring.
Thought it was something worse than that - I think he retired the actual year they won the ring. Think he played the first few games and he just didn’t feel right anymore so he retired, then the lakers immediately won like 33 in a row and won the championship. That can’t have felt good.

Weren't AD and Lebron supposed to change numbers this season (AD #23/Lebron #6)? Last season they applied too late and weren't able to. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

It was essentially he didn't feel right, his body was beginning to betray him(he was 37 and had averaged over 40 MPG a game before the previous season). So the Lakers knowing he likely wouldn't be able to start for much longer, offered him the option of coming off the bench. Baylor didn't want to finish his career as a bench player shell of himself, so he decided to retire. It happened the very year they won the ring. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

So we'll have two versions of the 60s jerseys, then what? Will we have the classic gold ones, purple ones and also the white ones we've always had? We'll have five unis, or just four?
I love the blue 60s unis, but not the white ones. We should stick with the white ones we already had. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

The Sunday whites are still gonna be worn.
The white & blue is the city edition while the blue jersey are the classics. Classic is a new jersey edition for NBA teams this year.

I think their numbers have too much sentimental value now that they are just gonna keep em.
If we had lost last year I think they'd do it.
At least it made for a heart warming bromance scene. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant

They aren’t switching anymore. AD sticking with #3.
Is this still the case? Thought Bron hinted he was switching to #6?
Wish they’d just stay with their originals but whatever.
There was a report that they’re not switching numbers which is true of the upcoming season. A new report yesterday said they’ll switch after this season. _________________ 14-5-3-12
