Nice read Eric.
It will definitely be interesting.
I'm pretty impressed with how Rob has been able to add real sssets to this roster, and I doubt we let them walk for nothing, so I believe we'll do everything we can to keep DS/AC/THT and even Trez long term (even with an eye to trading players at some point).

On another note, so amazing to have a real, professional sports journalost like you on the board. I oftentimes lament what passes for journalism, especially sports journalism, in this click bait world of ours.
To be able to read a professional, well researched and well written article by a true journalist at the top of their game is a real pleasure.
Cheers and thank you.

Gasol-AD-Bron-Wes-DS (he staying)-Deng

Looks like gonna end up having to pick between (to cut costs)
Kuz or Trez for $13m/yr
KCP or AC+THT for prob $13-18m/yr

trez is likely gone unless he really wants to be a laker. the max we can offer is 11mil which is much less than his market value. maybe we get a klutch special in some way.
AC is interesting, hard to gauge his value outside of the lakers, he is not a good scorer nor a shooter. lakers would definitely keep him at a reasonable price. if some team wants to offer him 15 mil or some crazy (bleep), he is gone

THT- we can keep due to the Arenas rule. the most we need to pay is 10mil for his service, but this really depends on how he plays the rest of the season maybe we can get him for less.

Kieff and Wes are gone unless they want vet min.

if trezz is gone, we will need to find some big man.

as much i like Jeanie as an owner, she really needs to pony up for the tax bill for the next few lebron years. if this was other owners like ballmer, we wouldn't be having this conversation now.

Winning is Expensive...

Losing comes cheap (Unless you're the Knicks...)

My latest video "Dallas Mavericks Draft Pick Table" - I look at the Mavs' entire future draft pick situation & limits they face because of obligations to the New York Knicks (Kristaps Porzingis). Significant in what they can or can't do in trade:

no kidding, the warriors have 2 super max and DG. they probably couldn't afford to keep KD anyways.

Latest @BleacherReport Trying to fix the Minnesota Timberwolves - basically the only team out of 30 already out of the playoff/play-in race. They're invested in a bad roster, do they have any hope for the future? https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2932871-is-there-any-hope-for-the-nbas-most-hopeless-team
