"Lonzo Ball is averaging a career high 14.3 points/gm on 56.1% TS. He's shooting a career high 38.8% on a career high 7.7 three point attempts a game. His 2P% (49.1), FT% (74.1), eFG (54.9), and TS% (56.1) are all career high marks as well."
He just HAS to stay healthy. _________________ KOBE
I'm super impressed, and the best part isn't the recent numbers. He's playing with more poise and discipline on the court, which is something that was lacking in his Laker stints. His mental mistakes and errant fouls were always frustrating to watch.
I'm probably gonna jinx him, but he's living up to the #2 pick just because he's impacting both sides of the floor. He's playing like J. Kidd on defense. The perimeter defense w/ Josh Hart against the Celtics in that 24 point comeback was phenomenal.
To be honest, Lonzo is the exact kind of point guard the Lakers desperately need right now in terms of the role he'd play and fit with LeBron.
Anyway!! Lonzo Ball 16/6/4 with 2 steals tonight and Kemba Walker went 5-21 _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

"Only 6 Players have attempted as many threes as Lonzo Ball across the last 9 games, and only Stephen Curry is shooting a better percentage (47.3% to Lonzo's 46%)" _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

while locking up Mitchell, whom went 7-21 from the field and 1-8 from three. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

This season: 14 ppg, 39% 3's, 76% ft's, scoring on mid range shots moving right or left. He's becoming more aggressive, offensively. I'd sign him back asap, but the Lakers may not value him. He's 23 and still developing. He pushes pace like no other Lakers player and would limit Lebron's 18 second dribbling possessions.
I haven't been watching him for some time, but...wth? I have never seen such a confident Lonzo. Is this how he plays now, sometimes? Midrange game, going to the rim, shooting without hesitation? Laughing? I do

Lakers value him, but there’s no way to get him. We don’t have the assets to trade for him, and we can’t sign him. He’s a restricted FA, so even if by some miracle he decides to take a MASSIVE pay cut and sign for the lux tax MLE, the Pelicans would match that instantly and thank the Lakers for saving them probably about 15 million a year or so. Maybe he’ll be available in a few years when Lebron’s done, but for now it’s just nice to see Zo doing well along with most of the other baby Lakers, even if it’s on other teams.

Coach finally let Zion start with the early transition playmaking and it put Lonzo at his comfortable spot; limited playmaking, catch and shoot guy in the corner. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

It's pretty much how he plays now. His finishing has improved too. I've seen him come off the screen to shoot a midrange more this season than probably his entire career combined to this point. Also seems to like bank shots from mid as well.
Zo's really done a lot to improve his game, his health was a big reason why he never was able to get it rolling. But since he's come back, over the last 22 games his stats have been
15.7 PPG
4.2 REB
5.5 AST
1.4 STL
0.5 BLK
44.9% Field Goal
43.1% Three Pointer (on 7.9 attempts)
83.3% Free Throw
While being solid defensively. There was a stat that also said that over this stretch of games the only player that has shot more threes than Zo and at a higher percentage has been just Steph Curry.
So he's been balling and playing with confidence, I want him to keep it up but he seems to be doing it well, and SVG has Zion do some playmaking too which allows Lonzo to attack off ball as well. Whatever SVG is doing so far is working in terms of getting Zo, BI and Zion playing as a oiled machine.
My gripe is that SVG has a tendency to pull guys when they get hot, but outside of that he's created a good base to build on. Now they and he just needs to build on it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I do find it weird that the Pels for all their talent level, I mean they got our best assets and then added Zion who is now an all-star already, they are barely in playoff position, and I am not sure they even make the playoffs if they began today.
Is it coaching, because they changed coaches.
Ball is playing better.
Zion is an all-star.
Ingram did not make the all-star team, but did have a solid season so far.
Adams is a heck of a physical player.
Does Griffin is viewed as a great executive ..... but he did trade Holiday who was ADs best teammate during the playoff years they made the playoffs.
Nice to see Ball do better this season. I do not think he should get the max, but for sure he will get in the 60M-4 years range.
When Steph was 23 the Warriors were terrible and he and Klay both had three years in college before they got to the NBA.
People kept writing off the kids when they should have been just a little more patient.
I thought they'd do better this year but you can see it coming together. They can beat Boston, Utah, Clippers... yet lose to the Timberwolves. It's just a matter of time before they get it together.
