Something is up with this AD injury. I know Haynes said they expect AD before Lebron, but they seem to be tempering expectations and playing some transparency games with the reporting.
I would honestly become a fan of another team if they are stupid enough to bring out future star back early. Remember KD?? Klay?? Oladipo??
These guys don't take the right amount of time to recover...Problem is once you have one injury your body starts borrowing from other parts of your body and giving you issues. Look at KD having Hamstring issues...
AD take your time man do alot of swimming, biking, cardio...

When you ready we will be here!
Don't do that!! . But, seriously, he either insisted that he was ok, or they did bring him back too early the first time he had issues with his leg. I recall very clearly that AD was not right when he experienced issues that at that time was undisclosed.
But I have little doubt that he came back too soon, and that led to the current extended stay on the disabled list. Bottom line is he needed more time when the issue first start plaguing him.
Great freaking news, with AD coming back and LeBron ahead of schedule in his recovery I highly highly doubt we are gonna be playing in the play in tournament.
If we replaced Anthony Davis and Kyle Kuzma on our current roster, with the youngsters that are gone (Russell, Lonzo, Randle, BI) given the years they've had.
Would we be a Championship contender still?
Starters:
Lonzo Ball
D'Angelo Russell
LeBron James
Julius Randle
Andre Drummond
Bench:
Alex Caruso
KCP / THT
Brandon Ingram / Wes
Montrezl Harrell
Marc Gasol
Is that a Championship contender?
Anyway, Anthony Davis whom we know we can win a Championship with, should be back within the next 2 weeks. Hope he stays healthy and that we're ALL healthy going into the playoffs and remain that way! _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Depending on salaries, we'd have our pick of the best of those players plus some of the lesser players we gave up on cost controlled contracts plus all of our picks... #4 from last season and three future first rounders.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we won and caught the Celtics... but had we not won last season... it would have been a clusterf&ck of epic proportions.
Just because you win... doesn't mean you made the wisest decision. If you make that pass in the Super Bowl... it doesn't mean it was a smart call... just means you were fortunate. The right call was still Marshawn Lynch every time.
It's tiring to hear people justify a franchise crippling trade just because it worked out okay in the short term.

Not only did we win last year but we're a top contender this season and probably will be at minimum next season as well.. It was already well worth the trade, most franchises dream of winning a Championship over multiple decades or longer honestly (Look at the Cavs). With that squad we're likely much more of a Utah or Denver then favorites to win it again imo..
I still think we're clearly contenders though with those guys instead of AD but nowhere near as good when the rotations tighten and minutes lengthen for the best players in the Playoffs.

Yeah, I mean if we added Schroeder to the bench 1 instead of Caruso. But I didn't think he'd realistically come here with Lonzo and Russell as clearly the starters. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

That roster put forth by MJST would be very competitive. I think a 50ish win team in a normal season. Likely get beaten in second round.
"Vintage" AD provides an absolutely monstrous advantage on both ends of the Court. What he did to MIA in game 6 of the finals last year on the defensive end was just incredible...it's like he splits into two great defenders, but he is one person. _________________ "One thing I admire about Kuzma is his unwavering confidence. Understand this is meant as friendly jest but this is a good point about injury recovery. Underestimating the time causes more anxiety and concern when the player isn't back. I've said from the beginning that I would be happy if AD came back by May 1. The bigger question is what will he look like when he gets back and will this recur or get worse when he tries to play. Achilles tendinosis is not a 2 or 4 week thing.

I get what your saying but you make that trade even if we lost last season. You trade for legit stars to pair up with your star. The L.A way baby. As much as I love our young guys, they are all rotting on awful teams except maybe the Knicks this season. I'd still much rather have LBJ-AD for a few seasons than hope our players pan out and we make the playoffs lol. _________________ I love my Lakies

That's a wierd team for sure. I can't put anything past LBJ but I don't think that's a championship roster. Plus you have some massive EGO issues with Ingram and KCP coming off the bench.

Do you think the Buss family would have been willing to pay that or would they have traded guys away to cut costs? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

We will see this year. Are they going to keep Caruso, Kieff and Schröder or are they going to let go some of them? I already assume that Montrezl will not continue.

At the very least Harrell is the one that has a Player Option so he could if he believed us when we tell him we'll give him a bigger contract when they have his full Bird's. It would help us out a ton tbh. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
