Feels good to win. Was expecting a loss since I saw that on the schedule without Lebron and AD. This and the Nets games are big wins for this team and holding onto playoff positioning as we await the arrival of the cavalry

Harrell is agood to have but imo not very useful if we have drummond. Cant shoot, cant really defend, cant really rebound and terrible at holding the low post a offense. I would definitely let him go.

By the way, I am seeing some real chemistry and love between these guys. I think Drummond has helped. Such a lovable smart guy.

Someone will over-pay him and that's a good thing for all parties.

So for folks who are not watching spectrum there you go.

Yay Win!

I kinda noticed that too. Drum has a great personality that the guys have gravitated to. It has really helped our camaraderie in LBJ & AD's absence.

Thanks TD...at first it looked bad when he landed and just started writhing a bit...on the replay I was like wait, I didnt see anything off, hopefully just a cramp?

Glad that's all it was.

He knew they needed this win. Utah will likely have everyone but Mitchell back on Monday.

Also bought AD another game. He probably plays Monday if they lost this one.

Lakers win, 127-115 in OT.

An up and down game, back and forth. Lakers without AD/LBJ, Jazz without Mitchell, Conley and also did not play Gobert.

First half was crazy scoring - not really a Laker type of game. Lakers led 65-62 at the half.

Second half things started to slow down and Lakers would slowly build a 12 point lead in the fourth...to then watch the Jazz go on a run and actually take the lead in the closing minutes. DS would end up being the guy who offensively tied the game for the lakers in the closing seconds. 110-110 in OT.

In OT Lakers finally took control. It did help the Jazz lost Ilyasova to fouls.

Huge props to Dre, DS, and KCP. Entire Laker starting lineup scored in double digits bit those 3 were solid from start to finish, all scoring 20+.

Dre was a big factor in preventing a number of drives and allowing for some easy scores down the stretch and in OT. He also led the team +/- with a +18.

A well, well deserved W, and a needed one. Lakers survived a ridiculous hot start from 3 by the Jazz who were shooting a ridiculous number of 3's. They shot 59 for the game at a 39% clip, and Ilyasova was 6-8, Ingles 6-12, and Clarkson 5-15. Usually the team gets rolled over by an opponents hot 3 shooting but luckily the Jazz who started well over 50% began to cool off.

Hopefully the Jazz elect to sit their big guns again the next game - will help keep the odds even

[Almost forgot - we all had a slight KCP scare after he scored he went down grabbing his ankle...was just cramps.]

Markieff Morris on the play-in tournament games:

I'm really hoping what I predicted with his arrival will happen...

Vogel made some sneaky good adjustments, I liked how he put Drummond on Royce O'Neal so the Jazz couldn't keep spamming 3's with his man

O'Neal made some slop but of their guys he is the one you want chucking and it helped him keep Drummond on the floor and work the Jazz front line on the other end

Great win! Unexpected gift but gladly accepted.

Nice effort except for that stretch of really stupid basketball in the fourth that let them back into the game. So frustrating!

Glad to hear KCP was only cramping. On to the next game.

He could very easily just put in Gasol at backup 5.

I still don't understand why Gasol gets DNP's when Drummond plays. Just seems like Vogel is over thinking it.

If anything Trezz would be better NEXT to Gasol, it doesn't have to be either/or.

Yup and if he really want to match opponent's small ball, Morris is better @ C kuz he can space up the floor for slashers like THT and DS. Harrell is not even fit for a small ball center role. He clogged the paint.

Well today specifically Marc was available but they did not want to play him if they didn’t have to because of the injury to his finger that he got in the previous game.

JaZZ, are learning what the Lakers already know...

It's hard to win without your best players on the court!
