LOL, Rondo's close to being the most traded active player in the NBA. Wonder why.

And calling all the points Lou scored "empty"? Right.

You need points to win games, last I checked.

I stand by my assessment. Rondo is overrated here on LG. Good player. Has his value. But is not a magic bullet.

Lol, Rondo's only been traded TWICE in 15 years.

Sweet Lou is averaging 12 points, while his team is giving up 11.

Rondo is averaging 6.5 while helping his team outscore opponents by almost 15 points. Yes, points win games.

Rondo left the Lakers. He's a Clipper now, and the Clippers can certainly use some fans. So...

And Rondo was a Laker who won a championship with us. So we can have discussions about him.

Troy, I’ll bite on this one.

Let’s say Rondo doesn’t come back from the hand injury in the bubble...do the Lakers still win the Chip? I’m not sure they get past Denver without him, those were some really close games outside of game 1.

It’s basically Dion Waiters when Lebron sits and Vogel didn’t really trust him to execute the defensive scheme.

The Clippers propaganda is building back up in the media...healthy, peaking Kawhi and PG13 with his 30 point games.

I guess Kawhi is no longer playing possum.

Unfortunately it’s been a role reversal between us and them this year where their team is building chemistry with their two stars while our superstars have been out.

They’re going to be a tough out this year but at least we’ll have Lakers fans filling the arena all of the game.

I’m also optimistic that we’ll have greater capacity than what we have currently in Staples.

Nets +225
Lakers +350
Clippers +550

Sucks seeing the Nets pull away in the odds while us and Clippers start to converge. Just get healthy

This has been the theme since opening night of the 2020-21 season. I’m not betting against Lebron but it’s a tough matchup and could be trouble if LBJ/AD aren’t 100% and PG13 doesn’t have his usual playoff choke.

They are relying on washed up vets like Batum/Ibaka/Rondo to give them major minutes in the playoffs. Don't be surprised when those guys fold like cheap $5 dollar suits when the games actually matter.

If you thought Lou Williams defense was bad, wait till you see Luke Kennard.

Not even the dynasty warriors shot above 40% from the 3 point line in the playoffs. That was considered the greatest 3 point shooting team in the modern era.

I don't see how being on a lot of teams has anything to do with whether a player is a journeyman.

Rondo has played on 8 teams.

Moses Malone played on 9 teams, and he's just below the GOAT short list. Is he a journeyman?

Rickey Piece, Chauncey Billups, Adrian Dantley, Dwight Howard, Joe Johnson, Bob McAdoo, Jermaine O'Neal all played on 7 teams as more.

Rondo is a borderline Hall of Famer and four-time all star. If that's your idea of a "journeyman," I have no idea how you are defining the term.

Ibaka is 31 years. He's putting up 11-7 on 51-35-82 shooting.

Batum is 32 years old. He's putting up 9-5 on 46-42-85 shooting.

Rondo is putting up 6-3-5 on 46-44-100 shooting for the Clips.

If that's your idea of washed-up, I wish we had more washed-up players.

Tough to talk crap on Rondo considering he was our 3rd best player on our way to a chip 1/2 a year ago.

But of course I'm not rooting for the Clips.

Sounds like a good used car salesman pitch. The only two players on their roster who have any track record of elevating their game in the post season is Kawhi and Rondo.

LeBron has been on the Cavs, HEAT, Cavs again, and now the Lakers. Shaq was on the Magic, Lakers, HEAT, Suns, Cavs, and Celtics.

Smdh. We have an elite defense but guys like AC and Schroder are going to have to really bother him and neutralize him.

clippers look good this year, they were inconsistent last year but sort of remind me of our team of last year.

I think they're the team to beat in the west.

Barely win against Blazers without Lillard and Nurkic. It's not as if both of their all stars were out. PG played.

Complete Lakers can easily beat these bozos.

For sure, the Clippers are clearly the Lakers biggest obstacle by an extremely large margin in the Western Conference but with a healthy AD and Bron I take the Lakers over them by a decent amount still. Rondo absolutely helps them no doubt but I think some people are overrating him a bit. We have like 4-5 guys that can be thrown at him nonstop every game. Our perimeter defense, especially at full health is any guards nightmare. The body count piled up round after round last Playoffs and nearly all of them were much better then Rondo.

With Dre now we simply matchup great with the Clips. Like much of the NBA, this season even more so will come down to health but if all the Superstars are healthy I love our chances against them.

The Clippers' defense is still a problem. They rank just 11th in defensive rating this season.

Come playoff time, when teams make adjustments from game to game, that defense can be exposed, and they may go cold from 3-point range for a little while.

They could win the world championship, but I'm still not impressed.

That would probably catapult whoever wins into the finals. That’s a big time first test imo.

I don’t mind it IF Lebron and AD are 100%. However I would still prefer to get the Nuggets first round because it feels like we won’t be ready for a showdown with the Clippers, while they have been playing together and just shutdown Kawhi recently to get him at 100% for the playoffs. I would rather face Kawhi and Rondo after a series or two.

or make them think they won it already.

i know people hate DS here but he is a huge advantage over Rondo and we saw last time they matched up (atl) DS frustrated rondo. Vogel liked to press Rondo which ate up clock and didnt allow him to set up. Yes they beat us, and he didnt have this team but DS was effective.

Just like in the bubble, specifically with Lillard and Harden...the Lakers strength will be their ability to disrupt at POA. Caruso and KCP know what to do and DS will be expected to neutralize opponent PG/POA perimeter guys. He will have to be a pest to Rondo, Jackson, Beverley, etc. if that series happens.
