The Lakers were unbeatable when KCP is on from the 3, most of his looks were wide open corner 3s.

KCP started slow but he finished strong. He made some big shots in the second half when we needed buckets. He scored 14 points (4-6 from deep) and he added 5 assists, (+7).

He was also the primary defender of Durant

They have a point in the laker film room podcast—this dude is tired. We dont need to trade him, because we know what he’ll give us once he’s rested and focused. We just need someone who will give him a breather.

Mclemore is going to keep KCP fresh for the playoffs. Rested kcp is going to be a problem for our opponents.

Great point. KCP is more important to us as a defender of the opposing team's best PG/SG/SF.

Crazy part is that KCP would be around 48% if he wasn’t so hesitant on letting the 3s fly, there are games were he only attempts like 2-3 3pters.

KCP has set the standards for every role player coming into the Lakers.

His attitude is TOP NOTCH.

People really forget that he has been playing almost every single game without rest and he has the hardest job on the team physically. This man runs around the court at 100% speed every game.

Ask Lillard, Westbrook, Harden, and Murray how that defense taste

and then he drops 3s at a 40+ clip.

Really thank you KCP...I know you are undervalued and you are such a good camper that you really don't care about credit but I want you to know without you, we wouldn't be "built different".

Lakers confirmed it’s a cramp for KCP (right calf).

Glad it's not something worse.
In the last 8 months he's played 72 games. By next month it'll be 87. Heading into a playoffs.

KCP is such an odd case to me. In Detroit, many though he had near star potential. Averaged nearly 15 a game in his 3rd year when all that 4/80M rejection happened. He's a much better 3 point shooter these days (+10%) but every thing else is down.

I dont expect him to put up 15 a game with LeBron/AD but it would be nice to get scoring from him a lot more consistently through out the year. Fair ask for someone making 13.3M a year instead of 9-10M a year.

With that said, great job as of late. Last 7 games 14.7/3.6/2.7 and 47% from 3

Welcome back KCP. Your D has always been there, but when your offence is clicking, you are the ultimate compliment to our dynamic duo.

His shot looked so pure yesterday.

When he’s on, perfect trajectory and doesn’t even touch anything but the net. You know the Steph type 3s.

IDK if i've seen another player that is so polar opposite from when his confidence is high to low. I know this is common for all player especially shooters but KCP takes it to another entire level. He looks like one of the best role players in the NBA when on to being boo'd by his own fans during some of his low points. I love the dude though since his defense has been great all season but even that goes up another entire notch when his offense is going and that confidence is high. That shot is both beautiful and absolutely deadly when he's on.

We're so loaded this year that if he's on for even a game or two a series it's almost a guaranteed win honestly against any team in the NBA.

Stats for April. How many games do the Lakers win without him?

Min 32.4
Pts 15.3
Reb 3.5
Ast 2.1
Fg% 47.5 on 122 attempts. Needs to shoot more.
3p% 49.3 on a total of 75 attempts which is just short of 7 per game
FT% 88.2
TS% 64.9
ORtg 124
DRtg 110

Hope this gives him confidence to keep being aggressive on offense even when Lebron returns. A little mamba mentality surely wouldn't hurt.

Close to an iron man. Played 69 regular season + 21 playoff games last year and has only missed 4 games early this season.
