He's helping his team by embracing the tank. He knows better than the young Cavs what it takes to really win in the NBA, and they aren't winning anything meaningful without Cade Cunningham.

Speaking of tank, OKC has lost something like 14 in a row and most of them not even close. They can end the season on a 25 game losing streak (doubt it)...but Hinkie is somewhere nodding his head.

It's been really impressive. If Minnesota and Detroit keep winning meaningless games down the home stretch, OKC could hit the sweet spot of the third worst record.

SGA is a future star, Poku and Maledon are at least fun, you get a 14% shot at Cade Cunningham, and you have swap rights for the Rockets pick if it falls below #4? And no one cares because you run a small market team and aren't trying to impress your MBA buddies by branding tanking as a "Process" like you invented it? Presti makes Hinkie look like a dollar store Elon Musk.

Is SGA THAT good, though?

I think they need a shot at at least two top 5 draft picks to give some resemblance of a really stable, elite future core. I don't think, say, SGA and Cade/Mobley cuts it (as much as I rate a few of their other pieces, particularly Maledon)

Murray out is a huge help to us, considering we find it hard to defend scoring guards a lot of the time. I'm not going to get too confident and say that getting 4th/5th seed (with matchups against the Nuggets and Jazz in the first two rounds likely) is a recipe for a WCF appearance, but I'd be much more confident against those teams than against the Clippers or Suns

Petty pop taught her well

Becky will be a good NBA coach, she has a great basketball mind and obviously has been taught well by Pop

Hopefully she takes over a team that has a chance of success, so that she doesn't get thrown under the bus

Future star good? Pretty easily if his shot holds up. I thought he was having a better season this year (at age 22) than Donovan Mitchell's All-Star season last year (at age 23).

Going through Denver without Murray and then Utah is the easiest path to the WCF. Let the Suns and Clippers beat up on one another while AD lights up Gobert.

My guess is he'll probably wait till the following year which will be the last year of his contract. Unless love is willing to give back a huge amount of money there isn't much incentive on the Cavs part to buy them out too quickly

Well, if they do win a meaningless game, it's good to see the Celtics go down

I knew as did others that brad stevens was an overrated coach. Hes had talent. IMO the messenger is probably being tuned out. he was offered a ton to coach Indiana (CBK) . if celts fumble this post season hes probably gone.

Crazy to think they had Tatum, Brown, Kyrie, Smart, Marcus Morris and Al Horford and a boat load of picks... like 2-3 seasons ago

It's sort of a pick your poison / be careful what you ask for...Nugs have played very well without Murray (which surprised me).

But in choosing between all of that, frankly the one team I do not want to face at the moment is the Clippers. Putting aside a bit of a strange start that included their heads being kicked in by the Mavs, they have otherwise for months now been playing solid overall basketball. They now have extra size to toss at the Lakers. And you know they are really wanting to play the Lakers.

Would prefer a warm-up series first. If we cant get out of the "warm up" series, the Lakers wouldnt have beaten the Clips anyway.

For every Brandon Jennings and Tony Delk’s you can find examples of young players showing out because they are talented, and he did it against a good Bucks defensive team.

Oh, no doubt he's the next Devin Booker. Maybe even...the next Kobe...?

It's not even that Brandon Jennings wasn't talented, he just didn't have the work ethic to keep it consistent and never really matured, nor did his game, and always seemed to have a mentality that he'd already accomplished something he hadn't.

Jrue Holiday is a very good defensive PG.

Huh? Love was traded to Cleveland 7 years. Don't see why you think that has any bearing what will happen with him and the Cavs from this point forward.

But he did sign the long-term deal. So that is on him, especially knowing Lebron was year to year in Cleveland, Kyrie wanted out and Lebron and Gilbert don’t particularly get along.

It’s fine for him to secure the bag, but don’t throw fits and be unprofessional. He knows it too as he said he (bleep) up.

Denver is 9-1 since Jamal went down. NBA fans overrate players like Murray and Donovan Mitchell because their offense is flashy.
