Beaty is such a pro in the box. 2-0 dodgers on Beaty's bases-loaded double. Bottom of the fourth. Urias dealing, 12 up, 12 down, 6 k's.

And now another RBI hit for Beaty on a ball too hot to handle. Whatever this dude did at the alternate site, wow does he ever have it working now. The at-bat quality is crazy. Between last year and the start to this year, I thought he was done. What a turnaround. He looks even better than in 2019 right now.

Doc said he’s running at 60%. Once he gets to 100% then he’ll do some rehab games.

My guess is he could be 3 weeks away if everything goes right.

Season-ending shoulder surgery for Edwin Rios. Might explain why his swing looked so passive, like he wasn't attacking the ball.

Gotta think that was the reason for his poor AB’s. I mean he played pretty well for us the last few years, though that was in limited appearances.

But hopefully he can get himself right as I think he can be a solid guy for us moving forward.

Injury bug has now moved onto our minor league teams.

Quote:
Josiah Gray has shoulder impingement, will be shut down 7-10 days

Dodgers prospect was scratched from Triple-A start Tuesday

Gray was warming up in the outfield as late as 15 minutes before the scheduled game time in Round Rock on Tuesday, per Alex Freedman on the Oklahoma City broadcast. Gray felt discomfort in his right shoulder, and was scratched, with Ryan Moseley getting the emergency fill-in start.

“I think we’re going to shut him down for a week to 10 days, not pick up a baseball, then we’ll kind of see where he’s at at that point,” manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday. “I’m just happy that we and Josiah detected it earlier, and didn’t try to push it.

Roberts just willingly pinch hit Peters for Beaty. No, I don't care that a lefty is pitching. Peters is 1-for-9 with a lucky pop fly double that may have been a foul ball. Beaty would have likely gotten the bat on the ball there. Man on third with less than 2 outs.

I guess it could be worse. We could have Joe Maddon as our manager.

And then brings up Raley in the pitcher's spot, so it's a lefty-lefty matchup, and now you've burned two pinch hitters, in case the game does go to extras. Why not just let Beaty hit against the lefty, and then bring Peters up in this spot instead? Essentially, we had Raley hit against a lefty instead of Beaty.

Just not good managing.

We got the frisky Jansen tonight. Hit 97 a couple of times.

Saved by Prime level KJ but still we need to figure out the set-up man and fast, Kelly and Graterol have been epic failures thus far as was theirs for the taking.

At least Treinen is righting the ship. He's had 5 scoreless outings in a row, and has only allowed 3 baserunners in these last 5 appearances. Price's return will help, assuming Gonsolin ends up in the rotation once he's back up to speed. (Or, you could see those two flipped at some point, in which case Gonsolin should end up helping the pen.) I also have no doubt that, if Kelly and Graterol aren't getting it done (whether due to injury or poor performance), Friedman will swing a trade or two for bullpen help.

^^Sounds plausible

Damn but imagine if we didn't let Wood go, Alex has regained his all-star form of a few years ago, of course the Hated One's are benefiting from his rise.

I stopped watching after the offensive explosion but I was worried that the long inning + Kershaw batting and running bases would lead to him losing focus/command. He was dealing up until that point.

Muncy, CT3 and Lux seem to be on a nice streak lately. Hopefully JT and Seager can get back to normal.

Seager last 5 games went from .244 to .267

9-23
.391 avg

All singles though. Only 1 double and no HRs.

The Giants lost last night. They now lead us by 2 games. Considering all of our injuries and the losing streak we went on I will take it.

Nice. As long as he keeps hitting I’ll be happy.

Damn, sneaky good move by Halos snagging Hunter Strickland for a PTBNL.

Friedman's gotta do something like this, we have the assets and the needs for late inning pen support. Santana and the likes are trash.

Talking about sneaky moves, 53 year old future HOFer Big Albert is a Doyer!!

Without the use of the DH except in interleague play this makes absolutely no sense....bats are coming around while our pitching depth is suspect. Guess Max can gets to play some 2b and 3b.

We've struggled against lefties this year, he had an OPS of almost .900 against lefties this year, and we've been dreadful this season with pinch hitters. I guess, welcome aboard!
