Somehow, someway, we have to get that 3rd scorer. That way, when (no need to say if anymore) AD goes down, we won't really skip a beat.

We simply cannot go forward through Lebron's final years relying on AD to be our sole #2. We can't. We are setting ourselves up for failure, because let's face it, no matter how hard he works during the off-season, Anthony Davis will get injured. That's just the way his body is constructed.

So, is it possible to get that co-number 2 to pair with Lebron?

The best we can get, and even that's somewhat of a longshot, might be Demar. Do we really want another non-3 point shooter mucking up our offense, though?

Might be ok, he would get DS type possesions offensively and we really didn't have anybody stepping up after AD went down against Suns so a change might not be a bad idea

I agree he is a non shooter but we seem to never have enough shooting.

Our problem is our guys that are supposed to be able to shoot...can’t drive or hit midrange either. They’re just bricks all day.

Demar can at least create shots. In the playoffs that’s a value.

The more reason it was imperative to have kept the right young player that would’ve been the legit 3rd star.

Imagine if we hadn’t waited for Kawhi last offseason and had just settles for Jimmy Butler.

He would be great but I also think he wanted to be the man too which Miami allowed him to be.

Supposedly he was eager to come here but we were waiting for Kawhi.

I had Jimmy as my 2nd guy behind Kawhi. We had bad intel and Kawhi strung us out.

Yeah that one stings bad. F'en Kawhi. Butler on this team...barring injury, they'd smash the league.

Only way those trades happen if Portland is doing Lillard a favor.

The 2nd trade tells me the guy is an idiot. We don't have Drummond's bird rights so we can't sign him to a large salary and trade him.

It amused me that this thread was above one called "Win or lose, we need a legit 3rd scorer"

Why do so many people think their obvious, no-duh, me-too thoughts deserve a new thread?

I wouldn't have bothered to even respond except in this case the "obvious, no-duh, me-to thought" was combined with a cryptic headline that encourage people to click only to see, "Oh, that's all you had to say ... wish I could get these 30 seconds back."
