If we get to the Nets series in the Finals, I wonder what the gameplan will be for Drummond. I don't know if you can play that big when their entire team will be chuckin 3s.
If you have AD on KD, you'll need Drummond in there to rebound. Killing teams on the glass is an asset and Drummond is averaging 11 rebounds in 21 minutes per game in the playoffs. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
Anyone see Dave McMenamin's report on ESPN, "Lakers hope to sign Drummond long term this off season and view him as part of their future." IDK I liked the pick up and still do....but depending on the dollar amount this might be a mistake.

Are there other examples of players who are elite rebounders but not also good defenders? Seems like they should go hand in hand. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I don't put too much blame on yesterday's loss on Drummond or Gasol honestly. The entire Suns approach was just to put our bigs in pick n roll the entire game and then either draw a foul, shoot a mid range, or pass to Ayton for easy layup. We made zero adjustments defensively the entire game. I can't put the blame just on Drummond here. We needed to switch up the scheme after the 1st quarter but Vogel conceded the game.
At this point in the series, Vogel needs to go AD at the 5 the entire game and switch every pick n roll to keep the guards in front. If AD does not suit up for game 6, we do not currently have the defensive personnel to be competitive anymore as the Suns have figured out how to score vs our drop coverage.

should Montrezl's money, workable
Nah. He’s not worth hard capping the team over (only way we would be able to keep him is if he took our MLE, unless literally nobody wants him and he’s available for the mini-MLE or a minimum, which is doubtful). He’s not that good.
Unless Andre Drummond is willing to accept a veteran minimum offer, or one of the Lakers’ available exceptions, depending on who they renounce and re-sign, Drummond will likely be elsewhere on opening night 2021.
These guys man. Just get me dudes who want to win...JaVale, Dwight, Rondo, etc.
Forget these “I want to start” stat padders.
Takes less money to start on a championship team. Ends up receiving DNP on first round exit team. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Think this was leaked from Vogel's camp? _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant
Watching Drummond was underwhelming to say the least he had a lot of good moments but his lack of awareness on D should make the FO hesitate in bringing him back, you can spend that money on someone like JaVale or Dwight or Noel.
I don’t think Vogel is that guy. Probably someone else within organization.
If it was Vogel’s call, he wouldn’t have ever played Harrell at the 5. We also saw a tighter leash on Schroder in the play-in game after his lazy defending on Curry.
There was definite politics with this team. Get guys who are hungry to win...Kieff and Dudley exit interviews said a lot about the 2020-21 roster.

Oof. Well. I was big on the Dre train - huge in fact. Watching him play with AD and LBJ in that limited time, however...yea, I took a stop off it.
