The Lakers are the oldest team in the NBA at average 32 with Jazz next at 28.

Our team is so wise they know the (bleep) these young one are gonna try and pull before they themselves do.
Any old folks home gonna have to build something for #18

I think this team, even taking into account their average age, has about a two or three year window. They're not too old to win it all, and that's all that matters.

The young teams never win anything. It is typically the older NBA Teams that get the job done come playoff time, i.e. the Tim Duncan era *purs. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

we have some pretty talented guys 32 and under
Old folks like the 96-98 Chicago Bulls, that were, by the way, older than this Lakers squad.
As long as we have 2 of the top 5 guys in the league, ages/avg age of the role players don't matter that much. Only one that matters is LeBron's
Yeah, the whole age thing is becoming this absurdly over the top reaction across the entire sports world. There's not a single "Young" team i'd take over ours and the only team I feel has a legitimate chance at beating a healthy Lakers team is the Nets who also have there own concerns.
Bron is the only Superstar we have that is out of his prime but he's also an absolute freak of nature athletically and genetically so I don't think we can really use "history" to gauge him. With him, the only thing i'm a bit concerned with is possible injuries but with a decently deep roster he shouldn't have to play a ton of minutes and should be able to get plenty of games off during the season. If he's remotely healthy come Playoffs he's still a top 3-5 player at minimum imo.
Any other "Old" guys on our roster are at most low minute role players who have young guys around them on the depth chart.
AD is right in his Prime and a top 2 big in the NBA while Westbrook is at the tail end of his prime he's not "old" but getting close which fits our current 2 year window perfectly.

That Bulls team also had their stars playing 38 mpg, not planning rest days, reducing responsibilities and mpg before the season even starts.
Letβs wait and see how the Lakers manage mpg with their Big Three and the rest of the elder roster before comparing them to an all time great squad. This years revamped Laker squad has to figure out if they can even play nice with one another before we start comparisons.
