Some of those dimes where amazing.

He’s still figuring it out and I’m liking his aggressiveness as he’s gaining more confidence with his new teammates.

This is the first time in while were we got lit up by an opposing team's player and I wasn't even mad. Morant is just a beast. Happy for Griz fans to get to cheer for him as they have had to endure some of the most excruciatingly boring basketball throughout the last decade.

The first two months are extremely soft. The lakers should end up with a pretty good record. Most of these teams are worse than Memphis.

Defensively.

He was pretty active tonight and caught me off guard tbh lol.

As far as scoring he’ll forever be an instant bucket.

nice win... Morant was impressive... Memphis needs to give him some shooter...

Bane - terrible
JJJ - terrible
Adams - good rebounder, that's it
Melton - is ok

other than that, Memphis is not too good.

They are missing Dillon Brooks... They were on a back to back tonight too.

Brooks won't be enough... there's is no guarantee he'll be the same. might be a fluke last postseason.

other than that, they're gonna run Morant to the ground. reminds me of those Kobe teams when he really didn't get any help

Nice I think Reaves needs more to do out there.

West is too loaded. Legit 8th seed? Yes.

It really does to some degree.

Russ is his own toughest critic.
He’s more mad about the 9 to’s than any angry Lakers fan/keyboard warrior.

Defense was great tonight against this high scoring Grizzlies team.

Seems like games with Memphis have always been close going back to 07-08.

Lakers win 121-118. Alot to unpack here, and DB will do a great job with that., so I'll keep this short.

Lakers were up 50-38 in second quarter, then for about sixteen minutes [end of 2nd all of third) their defense was absolutely horrific giving up 52 points.

Lakers were up 106-97 with 6:15 in the 4th. They then proceeded to give up 21 points over the rest of the period.

Lakers were outrebounded 49-38 and gave up 18 offensive boards.

Vog elected to run Melo on defensive possessions down the stretch, after Reaves came in and was a big reason for the Lakers getting on a 19-7 run midway through the 4th and grabbing the lead. He also elected to keep running Baze on Ja, and Ja was absolutely destroying him.

Alot to improve upon.

Team did shoot over 50% from the field and 3, however.

A win is a win, and it's good to off the losing streak dating back to preseason and the Suns series...but man, this team is really, really far away right now from being the team they hope to be.

Frank used him how Team USA used him. They kept him close to the basket defending and even on the big. Last game in the 4th they had Melo on Ayton and Bron on the 4. This game late Melo rotated on Adams and AD roamed at the 4. Melo I strong enough to push any big back. He did that with Team USA too because in the words of Kobe, down low he’s a bear. You can attack him far out but ina contest where he gets to use his arms instead of his feet he can defend. Woodson used him that way too that year with Kidd and Sheed

Honestly, outside of Russ, our vets don’t crash the board as much as younger players
