Without Reaves, Lakers will probably regret letting go of AC. Good thing they got Reaves. Maybe they should have retain Wesley Mathews too.

We'll miss Caruso a lot more than we'll miss WesMath

If Reaves continues showing what he has to start the season, give me him over Wes any day of the week. Great that we have HBK locked down for two years

When its all said and done I think Reeves will be get big minutes in the playoffs.

I mean if he keeps playing like this he has to. Who's going to come in and replace this kind of two-way production. Ellington, Monk.... Idk about that

Vogel doesn't know how to rotate and seems to stick with vets over youngsters. Not only that, he sticks with players that doesn't fit with one another over a player or players that possibly can. Looking at what Reaves is doing, and how he fits with Westbrook, Bron, and AD, no way Bazemore should be starting over him.

I'm not sure about the starting lineup, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Vogel put Reaves in the closing/Q4 lineup come late season and postseason. Two years ago he inserted Kuz in for scoring Q3 but when the money was on the line at the end of the game, he leaned heavily on his best defenders and let LeBron/AD take over the scoring load. Thankfully, when teams like Miami packed the paint on defense, KCP and AD came through with some big time stalemate-busting scores.

Reaves gains us possessions, defends, can hit shots, reads the defense quickly, is unselfish and plays smart. Unless one of our other guards make big strides in that department, I see Reaves getting a significant role.

Man D.

This kid is just like having Caruso, only with better IQ/offense skills, and less athleticism.

Bradley and he have won me over big time.

We could have had both Reaves and AC but cheapness ruled the day.

This. And what is the length of Reaves' contract?

2 years.

Thanks, a pity that they didn't sign a 4 year contract with multiple team options

I will always miss Caruso and his defensive intensity. But I have no problem with not re-signing Wes Matthews. We got Avery Bradley back who is a much better fit than Matthews.

it is hilarious how I am sure they tell him to dribble as much time off the clock as he can and then he passes it back to a star for their percentages to get hit with the last second miss. I have seen him do this a few times now.. Smart Kid!

Reaves can play as sf cause he is capable of guarding bigger wings. That's why sometimes Vogel field in 3 guard combinations. So I dont think he will be out of rotation when the team is complete.

I do understand the financial implications if he had returned, but we did have "more" like him. He's in Chicago now.

Frank trusts him on defense. That Austin Reaves/Bradley combo, is the one Frank seems to trust at the moment.

Issue is on offense, that duo can force easy double teams or zones from the opponent, as they don't respect Austin's shot/offense, nor Bradley's.

Guarded lamelo the best, guarded Rozier the best, guarded Hayward the best. The kid is outplaying all expectations

The box out on their bigs when AD switched on picks, excellent

Noticed that too. Lebron gets flak for his roster influence. But he is the first one who seemed to push for this kid to be signed for a NBA rotation/12 man roster. All contenders have a role player like Austin, who do all these little things.

The thing with reaves is that he is very playable on offense as well. Can shoot 3s, can drive and can pass. Players like this normally gets paid, but reaves doesn’t have a strong body yet. If he can keep this up, i am totally ok with trading THT

Needs to work on his shot but I love this kid. Has a ton of heart, plays defense and isn’t afraid of the moment. We got ourselves a Caruso type player
