Season 2 and 3 are great also.

If it was not for someone always trying to take you out and the US constantly trying to put you behind bars.....being a drug kingpin would be a nice life.

for real ,season 2 is just as good, I like how they bring in fresh new characters from US, can't stand Felix's character tho lol, piss me off the story get him beating the US each time. Looking forward to season 3 (my guess is it's El Chapo's story turn) chapito!

s3 is so good.

I like--especially Episode 6--INTENSE! Prior, it was in the European vein of sci-fi, with an the emphasis on the people and how they cope with their normal situation, and then with each other due to the sci-fi element. Here, they are dealing with the normal in their small worlds, while trying to understand that which is not normal that is in the background slowly creeping into their normal. They and we know something's happening, but we don't know quite what it is.

Then there is Episode 6.

I'm the biggest sucker for 2nd/3rd person narration.

I think that's part of the reason why I love Dexter. Including this new season. Even though most people don't.

Here's a prime example of perfectly executed 2nd/3rd person narration. From my favorite show of all time:

My favorite show on television.....I enjoyed the first two episodes this season, but there were elements that caused me to fear they may try to hard this season. Hope I am wrong.

I had no desire to watch it but someone who's opinion I trust was adamant that I give Yellowstone a shot. Now I want to buy a ranch in Montana lol. Really great show.

Yeah, the views are amazing. Piper Perabo is going to be a character at some point this season.....think she will play an environmentalist that becomes a problem for the Dutton's.

Not sure if you are are caught up, but the last episode they introduced the "6666" ranch in Texas into the story. It is a real ranch in North Texas that the creators of Yellowstone purchased this year, and are in the process of creating a spin off of Yellowstone titled "6666".

Anyone watching The Mayor Of Kingstown? The first 2 episodes are interesting.

Yes, it is from the creators of Yellowstone. Btw, I read that while the town of Kingstown, Michigan is fictitious, it is actually based on the town of Kingston, Ontario which really does have a lot of prisons. Seems like a really depressing place to live.

ok, that makes sense....Narcos was 3 Seasons mostly focused on Escobar/Columbia.....the Narcos: Mexico was 3 seasons mostly focused on the transition to the importance of the Mexican Cartels to traffic the narcotics....and I assume the next series will mostly focus on Chapo gaining control of the trafficking.

There is another Yellowstone spinoff coming this December on Paramount+ titled "1883". It is based on the character James Dutton who was introduced in the Season 4, Episode 1 flashback of when the Duttons first took control of the land. It's lead is country music singer Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill plays his wife in the series. It also includes Sam Elliot and Billy Bob Thornton.

Power Book II: Ghost doesn't come close to Power.

EDIT: I meant Raisin Kanan doesn't come close.

Thanks for the heads up on Power Book season II. I thought Rasing Kanan had taken its place. I hope they bring Tommy back.

Basically the end of that run with Dana Carvey leaving a few Saturdays after that sketch aired. Then Mike Myers left in '94 and Farley/Sandler were fired in '95. I liked the Will Ferrell era, but that 1991-1995 crew was what I grew up on.

It was a Netflix series that ran from 2017 to 2018: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Chapo_(TV_series)

The actors were different. I haven't seen it yet. Might give it a try.
