There is no timetable for his return. A few days ago, Vogel said that it would be " a while" before he came back.

What is wrong with him exactly? Is a bone bruise not something you can play through?

He has been out for a long ass time, hopefully the medical staff isn't dropping the ball

They can take along time...anyone remember when Eddie Jones had one....I think it took almost 3 months.

No it's more the nature of the Injury. Here's what Dr. Brar (not on the Lakers medical staff but he posts about sports injuries because that's his field of specialty) said when Vogel made the latest "ways away" statement.

Dr Brar on Nunn

#Lakers Kendrick Nunn update:

Knee bone bruises can be tough to deal with, high variance on the timeline depending on the specific area and response when you load it.

Vogel gave mor detail on the former about a week back saying Nunn’s was in a more sensitive area.

And actually I found an even older tweet that he made talking about when Lonzo Ball had a bone bruise when he was still on the Lakers. It's a tricky injury that can go a lot of different ways depending on a lot of different factors, not the least of which is if the bone bruise occurs in a weight-bearing area like a knee or an ankle.

Bone bruises have a wide range of severity. Some bone bruises heal in a few weeks, some don't heal for more than a year.

Apparently, his is a severe one. Bone bruises can cause microfractures of the bone, and swelling around the bones, cartilage, ligaments, and tendons.

It's not necessarily something you can play through.
