Currently, the Lakers 3 stars are doing their job statistically. In addition, there is a medley of talent in all directions. The biggest issue is their identity, considering they don't have one. Without chemistry and balance, you can't hold players accountable. The Lakers do not want to sacrifice anything (offensive or defensively) and as a result are not good at anything (offensive or defensively).
Therefore, the real issue with the team is the need to sacrifice defense for offense in their lineups. Allow WB to play downhill including drive and kick, LBJ to float and AD to post/spot up offensively. After the allstar break, the team needs to start 2 real shooters with the 3 ball dominant play makers to spread the floor and set the tone:
C - AD
PF - LBJ
SF - Reaves
SG - Ellington
PG - WB
A second string lineup with energy and playmakers will allow other players to score, giving the starters a bonafide rest:
C - Howard
PF - Ariza
SF - Anthony
SG - Monk
PG - AB
Third stringers at this point for closeout games, replacements, and development:
C - Jordan
PF - Johnson
SF - Bazemore
SG - THT
PG - Nunn _________________ Stay cool, stay calm, stay crazy!
you've got a point.. especially the not-good-at...
IMHO: I've seen flashes of offensive perfection but the defense needs a lot of work _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

The dude almost averages a triple-double in Turnovers-Missed Dunks-Missed Layups alone! (OK over exaggerated, but you get my point)
It'd be great if he played downhill and could kick to the wing, but every time that happens, the turns the ball over.
The Sacrifice truly should be on the offensive end, for better defense, as we need to keep teams from scoring the ball in order to win games. It's obvious that the Lakers can put the ball in the basket, but we can't stop other teams from doing that.
Once again, the sacrificial lamb should be Westbrook, because he can't guard his own shadow. I had high-expectations of him, not to be a triple-double machine, but to simply be a threat!!! Instead he wants to make his mark in history in lieu of sacrificing and winning games!

The Rondo trade made no sense to me… You get rid of one of your most unselfish players. And for what? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

It was to open up a roster spot but sneak in the luxury tax savings for Jeanie and company.
Instead of cutting someone like DJ, they used the opportunity to decrease the luxury tax bill, even though coach Rondo is more valuable than anything DJ does…
Rondo was supposed to be the Udonis Haslem of this team. On the payroll but as a coach…funny how they took the opportunity to save $.

The commitment was obvious with the way they handled AC.

Rondo wanted playing time, but Vogel wanted defenders. Rondo will play in Cleveland. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

Monk is averaging 20 points, shooting 42% from the 3 since starting in the last 5 games. why would you want him to be benched?

There is only one ball. When AD returns, Monks scoring production will be severely limited if he is in the starting lineup. Westbrook, Lebron, and AD all score 20+ and they are ball dominant. Two primary players that fit into the role of a shooter complement these stars.
You bring Monk off the bench to enhance his productivity and the team ball movement. Sacrifice. _________________ Stay cool, stay calm, stay crazy!
Westbrook needs to go even if it means losing in the trade it’s a addition by subtraction thing Westbrook is not good for team chemistry makes mistakes at the worst possible times I am tired of hearing about his triple doubles while he gives away the ball at an alarming rate let’s get back to being a defensive minded team
Ellington played just 246 minutes in 14 years of career.
Ask yourself why.
huh?
You are not going anywhere with ellington as your starting SG
What do you mean he only played 246 minutes?
Bad math. Ellington has played in 754 games in his career at an average of 21 minutes per game...that's well over 15k minutes of play. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !
