Our offense is worse under Fizdale, but they play harder for Fizdale and are hard to put away whereas they fold when with Vogel.

That's our current situation.

Better(crap) offense, but folds under pressure.
Worse(crappier) offense, but plays with more heart.

Neither a winning formula with an injured and missing roster.

David Fizdale said Frank Vogel's status is all up to testing now. Health-wise, he's doing well, and he's "chomping at the bit" to get back to work.

Frank Vogel just indicated that, with LA’s success over the past month with center-less lineups, the Lakers will likely use Anthony Davis and LeBron James as their two primary centers once AD returns.

Now we are talking, Frank!

We can go center less just make sure the 1-3 are not filled with midgets.

When we won the chip we had

KCP 6"6
Green 6"6
LeBron 6"8
Morris 6"10
Davis 6"11

The story of " playing to Russ style" continues. Russ will run LBJ and AD to ground

After two seasons of “Lebron/AD do something” we… have an actual (good) offense? We have a four game winning streak with no AD and meh play from Westbrook. and Vogel and (i suspect) Fiz deserve a lot of credit. Potential gamechanger.

Monk being an elite offensive threat at the guard position is a game changer.

LBJ hasn’t played with an elite offensive guard since Kyrie and we all know how lethal that combo was…

Fizdale is known as a proponent of ball movement and cutting so I’m sure his input has been valuable because the offense isn’t really becoming Lebron ball until closing time.

Team looks very fluid on offense right now and obviously small ball helps but it’s also Monk being a top offensive guard these days.

Have to give credit to Vogel. Defense on Young was great last night. He scored 25 points but also had 9 TO and he was at times lost on offense. Great job. I hope he can prepare something similar for Morant.

I actually thought our D was pretty lax. We took away Trae as a scorer, but he feasted as a creator. we might have been too comfortable knowing how easy we could score on them.

Vogel's got some role guys now that do the little things he needs. Reaves, Avery, Stanley, Monk. You now have a few guys who will play with a motor and make plays on both ends. Far cry from when the season started. It was older guys that didn't fit like DeAndre, Bazemore, Rondo coming in, etc. The team has gotten more in line with the KCP, Caruso, Kieff types that.

On offense the improvements came the minute we went away from DeAndre and Bazemore. The two of them were killing our offense. Any decent lineup we had whether it was with AD at the 5, Dwight at the 5, or Bron at the 5 was showing improvements dating back to the 3 game win streak before AD's injury. Now since we're running Bron full time at 5, the offense climbs but it's come at a cost of D. Without AD, we've fallen to about 15th in the D ratings. We were up to 9th with him. The balance may come when AD returns, but seeing how our season has gone, no guarantee Bron is healthy when AD returns.

It's crazy, but the big 3 have not played more than 3 or 4 consecutive games together. That's just a crazy thing. As you see even with the Nets, since they began playing KD and Harden together, things have changed. Not easy to get high usage players to play well together right away. Anytime you form a big 3, historically it's been very hard to make it work.

Tonight vs. the Grizzlies is the perfect example of why Vogel should be relived from his head coaching duties for the Lakers.
He couldn't make the proper adjustments to stay competitive and he wore down his Superstar, by not providing any help and support!
We can't win with him, simply put!

If he looks down his bench and sees DJ, THT, Wayne, Reaves, Melo, Dwight, Ariza, Johnson, etc.. wtf is he supposed to do?

The schedule doesn’t really change if that’s your mindset. If you play to your ability, you can beat anyone. We feel that way about our group.”

A veteran team like the Lakers should be unfazed by remaining schedule rankings. The Lakers still have eight games against the Western Conference royalty: Golden State (3), Phoenix (2), Utah (3).

So, Frank, what about those times when they don't play to their ability, can they beat ANYONE (even bad teams) then?

Cause... they ain't shown that....that's the way I feel about your group...

Until Vogel is given the authority to remove Russ from the starting lineup and limit his playing time, he absolutely cannot be judged on this season. His hands are tied.

Needs to grow a pair. If his hands are tied, then this shouldn’t be a job you want Frank. Take control.

play small ball against a big team is asking for trouble, you can get away with it if the other team doesn't have strong inside presence, but no the kings.
