Lakers win 101-95 vs the Jazz. Best win of the season, IMO.
This was our best win this season, by far. We actually looked like a good basketball team for once. Proud of Stanley, Russ, Avery and the rest of the guys. So much effort and chemistry tonight.

The Jazz have fumbled the ball like ten times in the final five minutes.
Lakers been tipping quite a few of those.
They have been playing great... but the Jazz have looked like a lottery team in the fourth. Lost all their composure.
I think a mixture of Lakers playing desperate...but smart (for once), helped, combined with the Jazz just not being as good tonight. Jazz also seem to have a tendency even in the playoffs to fold when pressure put on them.
Lebron and Stanley small ball completely took Rudy out of the game.
THT, Reeves, and Monk applying pressure on the Jazz perimeter.
Benching Russ and going with the small ball feisty defensive lineup finally paid off.
Not sure if it’ll work on other elite shooting teams though..........
The jazz are elite shooting team and 40% of their offense is from 3pt
Maybe you are giving Utah too much credit. They somehow always find ways to shrink in the moment especially how easily they let our small ball lineup take over the final 14 minutes. Reminiscent of what the Clips did eliminating these jazz last playoffs. Instead of Marcus Morris and Batum it was KING JAMES AND ANAHEIM’S FINEST STANLEY JOHNSON.
I wouldn’t think Brooklyn with a healthy KD or the Warriors with a healthy Draymond would disappear that easily if we threw this same scheme on them
Forgot Jazz was playing on a back-to-back. I need to see a few more games like this in order to get excited. Maybe if we could hold next two opponents under 100 points as well?
Awesome win. Energy and effort was definitely much better tonight.
Kudos to Johnson for having such a big impact.
Now let’s see them sustain this over a few games. It would be nice to see them get on some kind of winning streak. Sadly they have a lot to prove. Are they just the mouse that roared for a night or a competitive team.

On to the Pacers.
Like you said Lakers need to prove they can do it on a consistent basis, don’t want to take anything away from the game but the Jazz were on a back to back and had to waste a lot of energy during there blow out win against the Nuggets it also helped that Clarkson and Bojan were not having it, hopefully this game isn’t just some fortunate circumstance but instead it’s something they can build on.
