Stan should have all Ariza's minutes. |

Good Stuff in signing Johnson, I think he can be a "Glue-Guy" for this team, and the Lakers are a team that needs at least 2 of those type of players and he and Reaves fill that gap.
Consistency will be key with the things he does well! |

Two year deal with a Team Option on the 2nd year.
The best thing they could have asked for. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Congrats to the young man!
Now can we please sign ANOTHER defensive forward to help the team out so we aren't one injury or 4 fouls away from playing Ariza and THT at heavy minutes at PF??? PLEASE??? |
There is no roster spot |
The team can create one by dropping Baze or any of our other long-term DNP-CD players.
They may not WANT to, but it may come down to that before too long. We're starting to show signs that we're better when we actually put legit defenders on the floor. The days of THT and Baze playing frontcourt should never be seen again. If Ariza is really burned out, we need another legit backup forward to advance in the playoffs - preferably one who can play C in spots and is more mobile than Dwight or DJ. |

If there's ever a rebuild, my hope is they keep him around. He could be the Tony Allen of the team, and his offensive game continues to improve. However, I'm guessing he's good as gone as soon as Pelinka gets the right offer. The organization is too unstable for him to last here. |

Some say Stanley only looks good because our frontcourt sucks. Not true. He seems to have a knack for forcing turnovers when he guarding someone in tight corners.
This new deal he got keeps him on the team, but it also gives him an incentive one way or another to work on his offensive game. If he does that, maybe in 2023 he could get up to an MMLE contract.
If I were Stanley I'd study video of Ron Artest and Michael Cooper and the subtleties of what they did on D, and I'd work on my 3-point shot and getting out in transition and finishing at the rim. |

High motor can guard 1-5. Diamond in the rough. Glad they signed him for next year. Just needs to stay out of foul trouble |

When, not if Stanley gets a more consistent jumper, oh man. I'm excited to see how he develops. |

Even if he does not get a consistent jumper he still has a legitimate role on a Vogel team. |

@StanleyJohnson, hey Stan if you happen to read this, let me encourage you!
We all know you came into this league with Great Expectations and Too Much Pressure! Your first stint in Detroit may have tore into your confidence and self-esteem as a Player! But put all that in the past because it's behind you now.
You are a player of this generation with all the potential you need to be successful!
Keep your head up young man and play like you played in High School and in College, don't allow the damage that was done in that first year to stop you from being aggressive on the court.
The Lakers fans appreciate what you bring to the table, no one is asking you to be any more than that, but whatever doors that were locked, have now been unlocked in the Purple and Gold. Play Free, be the Beast, Surprise the Lakers Nation and stay positive young Sir!
Stan's potential and effectiveness could definitely alter the course of this team going forward. Catalyst is too much pressure to put on any player, that's what happens to these young guys when they come out of high school one and done. Especially someone like Stan who was always one of the bigger kids!
With LBJ, Davis, WB, Melo and all the other vet players around, there's no pressure here. It is what it is! We either win or lose, we have the best player in the game on our squad and his shoulders, rather on the floor or off are more than enough to carry the load! |

He's been great. Was an awesome addition.
But if I woke up from a coma that lasted 6 months and opened up LG to see "Stanley Johnson - the catalyst" I would know right away we are hovering around .500 |

It’s lucky to have him and Bradley. They’re 2 key defenders we need badly |

Clearly undersized for defending bigs, and still learning to fit in on offense. Good pickup regardless, let's keep him for next season but improve on guys like Bradley, Bazemore, Ellington instead _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Stan didn't give us much last game. I expect a much better effort vs NOLA. |
