Right after we miss or lose the playin. There is really no point of doing it now |
If players don’t want to play for you what’s the point in keeping him around? especially in a lost season? I actually supported the idea of him staying until the season was done but I think you can make the argument that both parties should move on. |
That was a move for 2 months ago, with 8 games in the season, pointless. |

THT has loooong arms though, which seems like the only reason he's earning $10mil |

Goes to show that stars win road games. Too many guys were shook. Only LeBron, Monk and Westbrook didn’t mind shooting. Look at the box score |

So does Josh Okogie, who we could sign for a veteran minimum this summer |

THT playing, messy rotations, losses.
THT not playing, clearer rotations, wins.
With Augustin and Wenyan playing well. I think THT shouldn't be getting minutes as of right now. Decide between Johnson or THT and that person plays. As their role is virtually the same. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Agree with this. If you're gonna single folks out I dig Melo but his non-existent defense took my soul out of my body many times this game. |

Our rotations felt a lot smoother and in rhythm for our players when they weren't trying to force THT to be in them.
I think THT NOT being in the rotation is best for the rhythm of the team going forward, based on the last games we've seen where he didn't play, vs the ones where he did. |
Okay let’s not play him the 2nd and 4th quarter moving forward. Those were his shifts today.
How does that help us not blow a 23 point lead in the 3rd quarter.
Maybe he’s a distraction from the bench? Maybe they should have him watch the 3rd from the locker room since he ruins the rhythm. And then if Vogel chooses to play him in the 4th they can call him to come in.
LOL |

They take it easy, and don't have a leader that will kick them in the rear so they don't lose focus or get them engaged.
There's no "Draymond" or "Kobe" on this team.
When the Lakers had a personality like that last, it was Rondo. But they got rid of him for nothing. |
BAHAHA YES IT WAS RONDO
You people are hilarious man. |
Rondo was the voice in the locker room and on the court that dug into players like LeBron whenever he thought they were coasting and it definitely kicked it into gear whenever we were just 'floating' through games.
That kind of personality and mentality on the team is vital, if you don't get it from your leaders you get it from there.
It's why Draymond is important to the Warriors in THAT regard. When LeBron has someone that calls him out for 'floating', things usually go better.
When LeBron is pouting, or not getting back on defense, or disengaging from the game because he's frustrated, Rondo would let him know about it and wasn't afraid to challenge him, and to his credit, LeBron responded to it.
We don't have anyone doing that now. |
Give me a (bleep) break. That team was great because that roster was tailor made for Frank to run his defense. Thats what it was. It was a great team. Hell we had Rondo this season as well Where was that leadership? He barely looked alive out there himself. Like i said it's hilarious. That team in 2020 was Lebron and AD dominating and Frank's defense dominating. |

Lets hope the Spurs take the 10th seed. They're facing the Blazers twice and we've got no easy games left. |

For everyone piling on tht...remember if and when we have a different (better) coach...they hopefully will design an offense based around the whole team and not just 2 players |

We have a game against the Thunder and there probably gonna be without Giddey and Shai but we are probably gonna be eliminated by the time we play them |

And looked better as a team. But Rondo was here to JUST be that role and locker room leader, because Nunn was meant to play. Then Rondo got minutes because Nunn is incapable of currently playing, and he was a solid backup point guard for us.
Once we lost Rondo, we didn't find a suitable backup 1 that could even take on his role in the offense till we got Augustin. Rondo was the wrong guy to get rid of when we had people like Kent Bazemore on the team. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

We have OKC(no easy game by our standards)
Unless AD /NUNN comes back and make a difference, we are done.
Spurs has the tiebreaker vs us too |

Lakers still have a game against OKC but I doubt it'll be easy. |

Haven’t seen you all game until now. LeBron is at 40 minutes after dragging this team all game. There is no surprise he’s tired |
LeBron had the last game off and the Lakers had a long period of days off in between. No excuses. |
What (bleep) excuses? Dude has 39 pts creating open looks for teammates and you're blaming him?
. |
he was getting blitzed/doubled, played 41 mins, and tweaked his ankle. The defense was a bigger concern.
Again, when the Lakers are up big and momentum was our way, LeBron was taking over the game and they supposedly couldn't defend him. The game gets close and in the 4th Quarter against that same team that can't defend him, he's a non factor and has no aggression.
Follow the leader.
When the leader's being a frontrunner, the team follows suit. |
|
Our role players are not good, they all need to go.
Was that AD or Link Hayes. |

The team just doesn’t function on offense with THT on the court, and even worse with Russ and THT both on the court, and then you have the genius Vogel who add dwight in.. no wonder we can’t score
THT didn’t play bad this game, and the lead was lost with him off the court, but him playing is really not helping. The defender on him is basically a Free safety, he doesn’t even get to the basket now, so what exactly is his function? Reaves might not shot well, but he moves the ball, 6 assist in limited minutes.
