So, just call him out for the season already. This is the most ridiculous bone bruise injury in all of world history.

I really think they have come up with an agreement that allows him to rest and he ultimately opts in. I know it sucks, but the kid is a good player.

They should have never trusted that he'd be back soon and just tried for the injured player opening.

He supposedly runs into a nightstand and is out for the season? There's a bigger problem there. If a nightstand did that what is the bumps and grinds of an NBA season going to do? There's a deeper problem there.

Kendrick Nunn
@nunnbetter_
Lake Show I promise I want to be out there helping my team. Stay patient with me. This process has been just as frustrating for me. I’ll return as soon as I’m healthy! It’ll be worth the wait 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

This was January 20th.

lol I was being facetious when I said that. I don't remember how he injured it but it was during a preseason game.

I remember him spraining his ankle in pre-season and not playing, and then weeks later Vogel saying they did an MRI and he had some bruising and they called it a 'sore knee'....

Love to get Mike Trudell or someone to interview Kendrick Nunn to ask him what the hell happened with his injury.

It is obvious that it was not just a bone bruise.

It must have been a torn ACL/MCL or something along with the bone bruise.

I haven't read of any player being out a season because of a bone bruise.

Thoughts????

Bone bruises can be really deep, and evidently the basketball gods made sure this one was as deep as possible.

Bone bruises depending on size and location can take up to a year to recover from and can lead to avascular necrosis. Though most resolve after a few weeks to months, they’re no joke.

It really is. And there's the usual complete lack of communication from the Lakers' end

Then the Lakers should have asked for an injured player exception the moment he kept having "setbacks".

Applications for a DPE must be submitted by January 15 and are only approved if a league appointed physician deems that it is “substantially more likely than not that the player would be unable to play through the following June 15.”

Think ACL or Achilles tears or season ending surgeries. Not bone bruises.

Karma for letting Caruso go for this trash. Did he even play a single regular season minute?

That's interesting given that you also just posted that a bone bruise could last for weeks or could last a year or more. So basically we were hamstrung from the time we signed this person.

Nunn has easily been the most frustrating personnel element of this season for me. He was this constant dangling carrot that after a while was obviously never going to come to fruition. Someone really got over on us.
