Bone bruises in the knee can be closely associated to an ACL and/or an occult fracture (usually of the tibia).
Imaging would have ruled in this finding tho, however a moderate sprain of the ACL in place of a full tear and or a more severe MCL sprain could have possibly been missed.
Based on the timeline we had, Vogs let it slip during the Jazz pregame presser on Jan 17th that Kendrick faced a setback during rehab.
On Jan 20th, Kendrick tweeted out this….
https://twitter.com/nunnbetter_/status/1484316740666343426
So applying for a DPE by Jan 15th would have been difficult based on those public events. _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

Lake Show I promise I want to be out there helping my team. Stay patient with me. This process has been just as frustrating for me. I’ll return as soon as I’m healthy! It’ll be worth the wait 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This was January 20th. |
We need to put this on ice until RP has him opt out and demand another 1+1 this summer _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

He has a player option so I think he picks that up. He may be traded, but who wants a player who is coming off a year long injury? |

I just read that Nunn played most of the preseason games this season and I have no memory of that. |

Easiest 5 mil$ earned ever. Basically you sit at home, live nice life with nice weather, watch Lakers from best seat in the building and having a girls whenever you want. I mean what a man can ask more than that. |

Got to be honest, I have a hard time accepting/recognising most guys on the team this season as Lakers. Especially Nunn... he doesn't feel like part of the team at all lol |

No 26-year-old professional athlete wants to sit out the season with a knee injury. |

Yup. I know we all kid about it, but he was widely expected to bounce after 1 year b/c the 5m was seen as a bargain. Now, he will have to re-prove his value on a contract (assuming he opts in) year all over again. |

Quote: | Fischer: How vice president Rob Pelinka and Los Angeles reshape the roster may be limited to a potential Russell Westbrook trade, or the Lakers revisiting their outgoing package of Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn that was frequently discussed with rival front offices ahead of February’s trade deadline. The Lakers nearly sent Horton-Tucker to Toronto in a three-team deal with the New York Knicks. And Nunn is expected to pick up his $5.25 million player option for next season, sources said, after not appearing in a game this year.

Westbrook is going to pick up his player option too. Which makes next season interesting because I don't see many teams lining up to make that trade. Maybe Houston will still offer the John Wall swap? |

Lakers tried hard to get rid of Nunn during the trade deadline, picking up his option just means that the Lakers can continue there efforts in finding a taker for him, I don’t see any scenario he’s playing for us next year. |

Going into the season I thought he might be the X factor this old-ass team needed. Never imagined he'd be lost for an entire season. _________________ Not a legend |

Nunn will pick up his player option.
The Lakers won't get swindled again, and will trade him along with THT for space and some picks. They'll then go into the off-season looking to bring back Monk and Melo. And go from there. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I'd rather keep Nunn, especially since Westbrook will be gone.
We need someone to lessen LeBron's workload when it comes to ball-handling, pushing the pace and scoring with the ball in his hands.
If we trade Nunn and THT for cap space and draft picks, our team will be weak outside of LeBron and AD. |

Nunn's issues are the kind that make you wonder if he'll ever be able to play in an NBA Season. Bone spurs that keep you out for entire seasons and constantly has 'setbacks' vs the grind of an NBA season is not a good recipe. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

So, would even our FO know if Nunn will be back next season? That's my biggest worry if we end up keeping him |
