I doubt we can move Westbrook without attaching a draft pick or THT.
Good chance we will have:
Bron
AD
Westbrook
THT
Nunn
Reaves
Johnson
Hopefully the FO can make some intelligent signings to round out this team. Hard-working, lengthy, defensive minded, 3pt shooters. |

I also believe we’ll still have:
LeBron
AD
WestBrook
Nunn
Reaves
Maybe THT since his value has dropped so much
I believe Monk will get better offers and we probably should let him go so we can spend the MLE on a bigger 3 & D type player. We really have to get back to longer, more defensively oriented, players. Quicker, younger, longer, defense first types. No more old guys and hopefully everyone is a threat from 3. |

Hope tht is off of here and we trade for cam reddish
Brogdan has 67m in salary remaining and Hield 40. Maybe Indy saves 53m if they traded both for Russ |

LOL @ we can get multiple good players for Westbrook. NO ONE WANTS WESTBROOK. NO ONE. He has no value in this league as we should know better than anyone else. Best case is he agrees to a buy out. If he did that, though, I can't think of a single team that would sign him. Melo even has more value since he can shoot. Westbrook completely ruined us and he wasn't even capable of being a stand-in for a few regular season wins while LeBron rests. He was completely worthless. The other 29 teams know this. Look, we won a title 18 months ago and management messed it up but we still got the title. Meanwhile, the Kings haven't been to the playoffs in 16 years. Perspective. We'll recover but it will take a couple years. |

Also if we can bring guys like Covington or Otto Porter, this team automatically gets way better next season.

Why would Indiana want Westbrook? Also- that "1st" isn't til 2027. This would be a fantastic trade if Indiana agreed to it but they absolutely never would. |

At best it will be as good as this roster, it likely will be worst.
-The only change happening next season is probably that Vogel will be fired.
-Westbrook might get traded for a player who will contribute just as much to winning
-Our team will once again feature a new cycle of even more washed up veterans. The ring-/stat-chase appeal will have fully diminished. Who got themselves paid after this disaster season?
It is deeply sad that the people who built this roster, who made almost nothing but bad roster decisions (choosing Caruso over THT, signing a whopping 5 guys that couldn't make our rotation (Bazemore, Deandre, Ariza, Ellington, Rondo) and 3 that would only make ours (Melo, Bradley, Augustin) while the few decent players we signed were found by our scouting department (Reaves, Gabriel, Johnson). Malik Monk was basically the only non-awful move they made and that was like B- signing at the end of the day.
Anyway, these guys are still in charge. The guys that couldn't see Westbrook would be a disastrous fit. The guys who said no to Lowry trade because they didn't want to include *THT*. The guys that hired Vogel over Ty Lue. Guys that think they should be picking coaching staffs when their career coaching winning percentage is .284.
Pels will be getting back to back lottery picks next two years and will still have another one incoming. |

They won’t. But it is the same Laker fan bias of people that I believe don’t actually watch basketball but follow every Laker rumor on Twitter etc. And in a few months we will see insane trade predictions like teams giving up young stars for THT and fillers.
RW has zero trade value. The ONLY WAY it happens is if a team desperately wants to get out of a multiple years of bad contracts, know they won’t compete in 2022-2023 and are willing to eat one bad year of RW contract to get out of multiple years of bad contracts.
An example would Knicks for example Fournier and Randle (if they don’t see Randle in future). Or Noel and Alec wFourier to get out of Fourier contract.
Basically no team is trading real value. They would trade to get rid of a longer contracts for salary relief summer of 2023. So Lakers will have to either abandon plan having maximum cap space for 2023 to get rid of RW (which might make sense anyways because I don’t see any valuable FA worth a max deal that summer that we have a chance with) |

I hope we keep the young ones like Malik Monk, Stanley Johnson, Austin Reeves and Wenyen Gabriel on the bench.
The rest can leave. |

Ben simmons not playing in play-in smells fishy. Would russ, Kyrie, KD work?
we know KD /Russ was lethal. They could use some salary cap relief. |

Indiana are in a rebuild phase and high on Haliburton/Duarte... They move off a couple long contracts for an expiring and get a 1st draft pick. It will give them room to resign TJ Warren and Myles Turner in 2023. While having a $47m salary clearing in 2023 to retool. |

Them getting a 1st half a decade from now does not thing for their soft rebuild today. Indy would laugh the offer off the phone.
Realistically, we're going to have LeBron, AD, Nunn, Reaves, and Stanley. Westbrook and THT are 100% getting shopped heavily. I see DJ coming back on a minimum but the rest are all gone unless we offer Monk the TMLE. |

The attaching THT with Brick takes haven't stopped ??
Brick + 2027 first round might get some players with less bad contracts back. If THT is "attached" the cost would go up to 2027 1st + 2029 1st for taking Brick + mini Brick aka THT |

Does not help the way you are noting. Again, get away from Twitter leaves and actually focus on the teams.
Buddy only has one extra year after RW and is only for $18m. A very easy contract and player to trade for someone of actual value instead of dumping for a pick five years later.
Brogdon expires same time as RW. So you are basically saying the best they can get for BOTH of them together is a 1st five years later (because RW is offering nothing of value). Again, trade makes ZERO SENSE FOR INDIANA. They could get a better deal from literally every team in the league because both players actually could immediately help contending teams. |

with ownership watching every penny, they only care that the team still has 3 big names, combine with lack of assets, the same damn team gonna show up with exception of Monk who most likely will bolt for bigger $$$. |

Kind of like the Arte Moreno Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Fool people with 3 big names and crap pitching and below average/WAR starters around the diamond. |

Staying
Russ
Lebron
AD
Wenyen
Stanley
Austin
Dwight
Monk
Outgoing
Ariza
Ellington
Bazemore
Augustin (probably has the highest chance of the group of staying)
Nunn
THT
Melo (also a candidate to return)
Bradley
THT + Nunn will be packaged for a wing who can start. _________________ Author of James Harden and the Strip Club
