Imho it all starts with bad defense. If we’re allowing the most wide open shot attempts (closest Laker defender more than 6ft away) in the league, more times than not, the opposing team is going to knock it down resulting in no defensive rebound to be had.

A lot of these stats are a function of pace. We have the #1 pace in the league, and thus have more possessions and more chances for rebounds, assists, etc.
At this stage, a lot of the percentage stats are pretty fluid. We've pingponged from 1st to 8th to 4th in 3-point shooting.
The more relevant stat is we are 1st in pace, 11th in offense, and 24th in defense, which is not surprising given the chances we made.
The fact that our opponents are getting significantly more rebounds and assists per game is a concern. |

If you traded CP3 for Westbrook... you would lose rebounds but gain in assist turnover ratio.
Which would better impact the team?
On the other hand when we added Drummond it changed nothing.
My bet is on having a better assist turnover ratio.
(And yes I know the Suns are doing worse this year... but I'm talking about historically) |

having 2 guys in the top 8 in TO's isn't ideal, that's for sure. |

Why did this just get bumped? These stats are from last season. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |
