The Lakers will need to convince another 1st rounder talent to fore-go the draft... i.e Austin Reeves.

I know J.H. is crap. But he's stating the obvious.

Good reminder though. Have to think that is the plan.

Another possibility is that if we do trade Russell and have to unload our 1st, we might be able to get a 2nd in return.

Interesting.
Are Lakers thinking about having a pick? I thought he was a mid 2nd round projection.

Guys slip down for multiple reasons. Reaves and Ayayi were proof of that last year.

Wise - one never knows when a trade opportunity may arise.

Safe to say the juniors and seniors could fall to the second round and/or undrafted.

The top junior is 6'6" SG Jalen Williams at No. 19

The top senior is 6'10" PF Pete Nance at No. 27

Perhaps the Lakers work out a deal if they fall out of the first round, offer a more desirable undrafted free agent contract.

Too late. People are saying mid 1st to lottery, just like I said in my substack 2 weeks ago.

I like him a ton but he looked really bad during scrimmage play.

Maybe this will allow him to not be drafted and taken by Lakers?

How do you feel about the two sons of former NBA players in this draft?

Scottie Pippin Jr
Ron Harper Jr

From physical stand point, it seems like Ron Harper Jr has a better chance to be drafted.. 6'6" with a 7'1" wingspan.. Can the both of them play defense???

He looks like the kind of guy the Warriors would draft, maximize and then within 3 seasons people will be asking how so many people passed up on him.

So I hope the Lakers give him a look.

It's beyond that. The game was too fast for him athletically.

^ He’s an excellent passer which can’t be taught. He’s someone you can run actions off of and he’ll dissect a defense. Showed some actual face up game too at the Combine, which peaks my curiosity. I wonder how he’d hold up defensively on the perimeter though.
