I had 6 beers and woke up with no hangover, Celtics are still losers, tis a bright morning indeed in beautiful Los Angeles. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi.
I'm not gonna lie... as a hardcore Los Angeles Lakers fan, the second most thrilling outcome in sports to me is the Celtics failing to win a championship. A distant #3 is the Dodgers winning it all, and I love me some Dodgers.

This was a no-win situation. No one wants the Celtics to win but now we have to hear endless drivel about the Warriors.
Why would this bother you even one single iota?
I’ll say for me personally it impacts me because I live in the Bay Area so I have to hear it nonstop from family and friends. But this is infinitely better than the Celtics winning! _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant
Warriors are the more immediate competitor for Lakers. Celtic lakers rivalry belong to 60s- 80s. I personal hate draymond green and steph curry’s cocky mugs more than seeing Celtics celebrate a title. Never understand a rivalry can be between two teas from different conferences. Just like I never understand the cowboy steeler, cowboy 49ers, rivalries.
Detroit Gems baby! If we count Minnesota, we gotta count Detroit! _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

This is like saying history doesn't matter. Lakers have ample reason not to like the Celtics above all other NBA teams.

Warriors’ run will be over by the time we reload. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I don't know if I can take those 60s championships seriously. So if you start for all teams in the 80s the dynasty thing is not so much existent anymore.
Many of those championships were won when there were only like 10 teams in the league. There were not that many Black players in the NBA then, and everyone knows that Black players are the best in this sport.
It also seems like teams didn't play any real team defense until maybe the early 80s. The Celtics may have been the only team that had a real team defense philosophy in that era.
I don't know how to compare the competition they had in the 50s and 60s to the competition teams have had since 1980.

Yup, it was a no win situation for sure! A huge part of me is thrilled to see the Celtics lose but even though I dislike there entire franchise on another entire level I dislike this current Warriors roster DRASTICALLY more then any individual Celtics player if i'm being honest. Just simply can't stand the majority of the players on that team and the fans if yo live in Cali are insufferable and I have already got messages rubbing it in my face let alone what I will now be hearing in person now all off season.
Just a (bleep) Finals as I couldn't root for either team haha

Yeah, Draymond is such a prick that it's easy to see why a lot of people don't like the Warriors. That's reason enough, honestly. And I can also see why many people wouldn't like Steph, either. He's a showboater for sure, and I could personally do without the pointing to the sky routine every single time he puts a ball through the basket, even on a free throw, plus the careless mustard-is-off-the-hot-dog passes that lead to too many turnovers. I can see why his style would rub some people the wrong way, even if he's obviously an all-timer when it comes to his greatness on the court. I don't have a huge issue with Curry, but I'm just saying that I can see why some don't care for him, at least on the court. I think there's also some residual effect of acquiring KD, which honestly turned the league into something pretty boring for those 3 years. There was no intrigue, except when KD and Klay suffered catastrophic injuries. I think some fans just thought it was cheap and didn't want to see them win again.
But Warriors or Celtics? I mean, come on, that's an easy call. Only team I would allow rooting for Boston over is the Clippers.
This ain't JUST about Boston Smelts, boys n gurlz.
This is about ANY MUH FUH'in New England pro sports (or even college sports) franchise losing a title competition. Any of those should be appreciated here regardless of sport. And the Pats can bleep off as well as that Miss Nancy who deflated balls.

Some did, some didn't. Lakers then didn't seem to play that much. That was the thin, lithe, all fast breaking squad. Whenever they played an Eastern team that played rugged O and a semblance of D, they struggled. That's why the Sixers were easy pickins for them before 83. Sixers were a finesseful Eastern team w/o much in the way of man defenders. In an 82 Finals gm AT Philly, Lakers went on something like a 52-10 run or the likes. Had we played the Bucks instead of the Sonics in the 80 playoffs (Bucks were in West), that would've been a much tougher series.
Late 80s, yes. The 87 and 89 Lakers teams especially swarmed and played help D like demons in numerous playoff gms. They were very capable team defenders w/ Coop as an MVP level man/team D'er. Course, no one will ever credit those teams despite there being visual proof of what I'm claiming. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
