Since it’s the off season, I was wondering which venue Laker fans preferred and why. Both gave the franchise some great memories. But as a fan, which did you prefer?
For me, it’s The Forum. The sound in that building is still amazing (just saw AEW show a few weeks ago). Maybe it’s bc of the 80s Lakers, but the Forum will always be my preferred venue of Lakers basketball. |

I said both only because the forum was where I fell in love as a little kid and staples has been a party. |

Been to both.
Forum was nice and cozy and yes the sound was amazing. I was lucky to sit close enough a few times to hear things on the court and much easier to see celebs.
Staples is modern. Bigger, better amenities but you don't have that same close feel. |

Forum - better acoustics, cozier environment, felt like a true sports stadium. Also I still think it looks cooler than Staples/Crypto.
One exception: The nose bleeds at the forum were sometimes so high up you were blocked by the scaffolding. Whereas at Staples, the nose bleeds are further away but not blocked. |

I went to the Forum back in February for a Twice concert. It seemed very outdated compared to Staples Center. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

My sister was born in 1967 and she had her first kid in 1999 (actually today is his bday, 6/18/99). She seemed outdated compared to the baby that day. Just sayin. Dunno what that was all about. There was a major difference in size between the two. He fit into a swaddling blanket, whereas she could not. A lot of things like that. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

The Forum for me, a by a lot. I enjoyed the games I’ve seen at Staples, but the building itself has never blown me away. That said, a lot of winning has happened there, and I was lucky enough to be in the house for Kobe’s last game, and that’s something I’ll absolutely never forget. |

What about neither. Lakers being the glamorous team they are don’t even have their own stadium is a shame. Clippers’ Intuit Dome gonna be sick when it opens, and Staples will be almost 25 years old by then. |

those nose bleed seats served a unique purpose. Seats was so affordable for the not so wealthy teens. Sometimes it was about just being in the building.
You could have decided to go to a game minutes before tipoff, walk up to the window and get a ticket to get in.
I'm not putting up with the dtla parking and the homeless. |

We'd get our tix via Ticketmaster at Sam Goody or Tower Records locations with plenty of affordable options in the upper bowl within days of the game. Of course during the lean years between Showtime and ShaKobe this was possible unless the Bulls were in town then you'd have to pay through the nose on the scalping/secondary market. |
