Maybe we'll finally get our Clip/Lak match up.

Clippers #2 seed and Lakers win their play-in tourney

I'd just be happy if they were a class organization.

Lots of teams don't like the Lakers. Lots of teams with historically bad records, no championships since 1980, etc. Even teams that rise from the ashes, like the Warriors. Now they are great, but at least they can win with some class.

The Clippers have never been a classy team, not at least since they moved from Buffalo.

I feel like you are moving the goalposts only for the Clippers. Because the Warriors definitely haven't always won with class. Look at some of the stuff they did and said about the Cavs after they beat them.

I definitely wont say the Lakers have always won with class either because that is simply not true as well.

I hate the Clippers too, but mostly because their fans constantly try and establish a rivalry that is simply just nonexistant.

Technically, they don't.

For example, the Lakers don't pay rent at Staples Center, but pay an undisclosed percentage of their games' ticket sales to the arena, according to one source familiar with the arrangement who was not authorized to comment publicly to the Times.

Which makes sense - I couldn't see Dr. Buss adding on the expense of a lease after owning his own venue. It'd be interesting to know if AEG gets a cut of the concessions.

I don't think any team is stopping from winning it all this year. Kawaii is well rested, PG13 is coming back with a vengeance and their role players are scary good. It wouldn't surprised me if they win 70 games!

How much money do you want to bet. I’m game.

This. Clippers always find a way to Clip.

Full health? That’s going to be tough for them - and even if they find a way to be healthy they’ll find a way to blow a 3-1 series lead with multiple 20pt leads in close out games and make Jamal Murray look like prime Penny.

Now I will say - fully healthy they take a massive doodoo on our squad but that’s not saying much.

@ Kawhi being well rested and being the focal point of a 70 win team. Outside of Balmer drunk thinking on his yacht that's pure fantasy. Kawhi still had a major injury and also more importantly still has the degenerative knee issues. This is from 2019

"Leonard is suffering from an ongoing injury to the patella tendon in his left knee and has been placed by the team at this time on an injury protocol for back-to-back games."

After an ACL tear and 3 years later he's going to dominate to 70 wins and play a ton of games with no rest in the Playoffs to win the Championship.. Makes sense since he does at least have a teammate who is luckily always healthy and steps up in the big moments

It's scary to think that a Celts/Clips NBA Finals is one of the more likely outcomes this year.

Clippers are incapable of staying healthy. They will be lucky to win 35 games.

How many games has Leonard played since going to the Clippers

Anyone have that number?

You think Davis is bad? At least we got a bubble ring. They couldn't even do that.

Paul George - missed 93 games the past 3 seasons
Kawhi Leonard - missed 137 games the past 3 seasons
John Wall - missed 186 games the past 3 seasons

The assumption is that all players for all teams will be healthy. Injuries can be very unpredictable and we don't know until it actually happened. Kawhi could be like KD or he could be like Klay. We don't know. But assuming all teams were healthy, the Clippers would stand a good chance at representing the West.

A fully healthy Laker team just would not have the depth to keep up with a fully healthy Clipper team.

Kawhi's condition is degenerative - he won't "get better."

Wall ruptured his Achilles AFTER multiple knee/heel surgeries. His last "healthy" season was 5 years ago.

It's more than just a question of luck as to whether those guys stay healthy.

The gap is back!

I don't understand why people are sleeping on the Warriors.

If Klay becomes Klay again, they'll probably be even better this year with the return of James Wiseman and perhaps improvement from Kuminga and Moody.

I think they should be the favorites to win it all.

For all the "gap" there is said between us and the Clippers for the past two seasons they've been right where we were. Not winning Championships and then not in the Playoffs. So eh.....

Will you guys be happy for LA if the Rams, Dodgers and Clippers all won championships this year? I think currently all three teams are favored in their respective sport to win it all.

True. My goodness...the other LA team are not "favored" to win it all.

I don't follow Baseball so not sure about that but in the NFL the Rams are a fairly distant 4th place currently as favorites to win it all. I def. wouldn't pick them but no doubt they still have a solid chance. The Bills and Bucs are way up there as Favorites.

The Clippers last time I checked were coming in about 5-6th as most likely to win it all. When you have PG and especially Kawhi as your Superstars that's not a great bet either imo but if a miracle happens and both of those guys remain healthy through the entire Season and can play big minutes all Playoffs long then they def. have a good shot.

I wouldn't be happy with any of them winning personally (outside of the Dodgers as I have zero interest in the entire sport) but i'm sure there's some here that will be.
