AD
6'10, 253 lbs, 28 yrs old
10 Seasons
8X All Star
4X All NBA
4X All Defensive
1X All-Star MVP
1X Champion

Career Stats: 23.8/10.2/2.3 on 51/30/79 with 2.3 blocks per game

AD has played 604 games out of a total of 820 or 73.6% of all possible games.

Giannis
6'11, 242 lbs, 27 yrs old
9 Seasons
6X All Star
6X All NBA
5X All Defensive
2X MVP
1X All-Star MVP
1X Champion
1X FMVP
1X DPOY

Career Stats: 21.8/9.4/4.6 on 53/28/71 with 1.3 blocks per game

Giannis has played 656 games out of 738 games or 88.8% of his games

AD has 2 more all-star appearances.
Giannis has 2 more all-nba
Giannis has 1 more all defensive
Giannis has 2 MVPS to AD's 0
Giannis has 1 FMVP to AD's 0
Giannis has 1 DPOY to AD's 0

Overall, they are pretty comparable but with the edge to Giannis. He is more durable, has 2 MVPs, a FMVP and a DPOY. This almost feels like this generations KG vs. Duncan.

Davis is 29 and turns 30 this season. At one time, it would have been close. After the 2020 season, Davis might have been considered to be ahead, even with Giannis winning the MVPs. That time has passed. Davis would need a pretty strong resurgence to get back into that conversation.

At one point this was a real debate; now it’s not even close, Giannis is far far superior. Not even a conversation anymore.

The most shocking thing that you posted is the fact AD has played 73% of games. Definitely doesn’t feel like that

The biggest part the stats don’t show. Greek Freak has proven he can lead a team as the star. AD had literally fell flat on his face countless times when expectations are for him to be the leader (New Orleans and here when LBJ is out). AD VS Greek is not even close.

Skill and potential had AD ahead of giannis until last year. AD was the better defender, the better shooter, the more complete offensive player. However Giannis had an effort level and determination, as well as a lack of softness that put him miles ahead of AD.

Now Giannis has been grinding for many years while AD coasted and Giannis is starting to earn numbers that are better than AD in defense and shooting, which AD was once undisputedly better.

I expect the trend to continue and soon people will forget AD was ever that highly esteemed. Remember, after his first couple years, AD was chosen by some to be a future MVP candidate and a possible heir to LeBrons throne as best player in the league. The guy has really fallen off recently.

Giannis is Kobe

AD is Tmac

It use to be comparable but Giannis has surpassed AD to where the latter is an afterthought.

Giannis has kobe's mentality and durability to be the best. It shows and he has been rewarded as a result.

AD had similar talent but more tmac in him, which is why he's soft and gets injured constantly.

The fact AD has yet to win a dedicated award kinda hints at this mentality. You would think AD would have won 1 DPOY by now with his natural defensive talent. As mentioned earlier, players like AD get left behind while players like giannis become revered over time due to accomplishments.

Agreed.
Bubble AD was an MVP type player, sadly, we have seen none of that version since the bubble.

Giannis is the healthier player throughout the career. Healthier players can gain skills and stack on top of them, instead of using that time to recover from injury instead.

Even with his bubble playoffs play, I always thought Lebron was the leader, and he was the second.
