I’m so excited to have him on our team. He is exactly what we need in more ways than one. He will be a fan fave no doubt. |

Well of course he likes it over here a bit better. Him about to land endorsement deals and the whole nine (remember even Rob Sacre managed to get an endorsement deal out of his time with the Lakers ) |

No but you sure love drama and gossip. |
Nah, it’s no coincidence that the whole attention about the Pat Bev press conference was about how Westbrook and Bev were gonna encounter to each other, we all know Pelinka is probably working the phones right now trying to find a Westbrook trade. |
IG, don't take this personal but you read into all kinds of crazy stuff and make assessments that way....and sometimes from hacks.
We don't know if Pelinka is "working the phones" to trade Westbrook.
Could be he's here until he's not...
But, from what I saw and read, Beverley and Westbrook are cool.
If you look at the photo, I think it shows...

Did anyone happen to catch the moment that Westbrook threw a towel to a sweaty Beverley? Beverley's response to it: "love that bro".
They ain't trippin'. They're being professional, as they should be. |

Had to quote it!
"You'll be playing with LeBron James and Anthony Davis."
Pat Bev: "They're gonna be playing with me. I made the playoffs last year, they didn't.” |

Pelinka has been on the phone since last year, I want Westbrook to stay. |

Fearless. Guess we don't have to worry about him holding people accountable like Rondo used to. We've missed that the past few seasons. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Now that the 2k ratings are out, we officially don't have a big 3 anymore. Pat Bev rated 3rd highest but a 79 isn't cutting it as a star player 😄 |

I like the all out effort and accountability aspect of Beverley’ game.
Last year, the Lakers were god awful on defense and gave up in like half the games. The team won only 33 games and it wasn’t just because of injuries, including Davis being out much of the season. It was effort. That team had no effort.
If Beverley can teach the new guys how to play defense and hold Lebron, Westbrook and Davis accountable too, then it’s a win for the Lakers.
Yea, Patrick is annoying but he might be what this team needs along with Ham, new voices on the floor and in the locker room. |

Kuz… shoe deal
Reaves… shoe deal
2K really rate PatBev higher than Brodie lol
I like PatBev, I think him and T.Bryant gonna be that high motor agitator that every team gonna hate to play against and let AD be his quiet self |

But you of all folks must value the D. Don’t make it hard on yourself (pause)…give PatB a shot (pause). His defense should arouse your excitement (pause for applause). _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

^Haha, in today’s game the D’s been lacking. Ham is talking it up, Russ is supposedly going to be utilized on that end more (only way to remain a starter and earn PT per Ham), we know what Pat and AD could bring individually, but 2gether?
Yeah, the D has certainly “peaked” my interest. _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

I'm just happy that unlike last season, we have a Plan B (wish he would have a chance to start at PG) for Russ. For crying out loud we had Isaiah Thomas and DJ Augustin at one point. If Russ can't play D, plays without effort, etc., we have Pat Bev. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Please no Conley on this team. We’re not the Knicks we don’t trade for good players when they’re washed up. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

Does Pat give us another closer? Arguably not if Nunn returns to form as you can't really consistently close with both, sometimes not even with either depending on the opponent.
I was more excited about the deal when I thought it might be a precursor to a palatable Westbrook trade. The Mitchell deal pretty much killed that.
That said, Bev might be the only person that can fire up Westbrook. Though he is probably equally likely to start a fistfight with him. Otherwise, if the plan was to marginalize THT and Stanley anyway and continue to pursue a Westbrook deal, it can't hurt. |
If Kendrick Nunn (who hasn’t played a game in 15 months and has questions about his readiness even now) is closing games for us we are seriously screwed. |
Even if we're talking late into the season? I don't think it's out of the question that there is a version of Kendrick Nunn that can close for us in certain situations. If so, there is some redundancy with PatBev. That said, one is injured often and the other coming off a major injury so it is a luxury to have both. |
Unless he’s seriously cooking I just would prefer to not play an undersized guy who isn’t a defender when we’ve got defensive options on the roster. I think the other guys are better fits playing off Bron/AD as well. |
Who are the best 3 players around LeBron/AD that we currently have? |
Westbrook
Nunn
Pat Bev |
Car54, are you seriously going to omit Reaves from that group? I would start w/Reaves, then insert Beverley & preferably someone w/size would can play serious defense like (at least I hope) Brown jr. |
Y’all overrating Reeves now. Lol I like the kid but he’s behind those guys _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

It seems there isn’t a Westbrook trade out there that would make us better right now. I would do the rumored pacers trade but the Utah trades are horrible. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

Based on Hams words Russ and Beverly will both have a shot at starting but it’s likely he will eventually bench Russ if he isn’t playing defense. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins
