Serena ran out of gas. I didn't think it was wise for her to play with Venus in the doubles, which they lost. She expended too much energy. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Awesome match going on right now between Alcaraz and Sinner. Both guys running everything down and it's a hitting war. High-quality stuff. It's one set apiece and 5-5 in the 3rd. Tiafoe gets the winner in the semis. I'm sure Foe Foe would love a 5+ hour battle in this one. |

Wow. Alcaraz broke to go up 6-5, Sinner broke back to take it to another tiebreak, and Sinner skunked him in the breaker a la Tiafoe over Rublev earlier today. The Italian is up 2 sets to 1 here. |

Sinner was up 5-4 and serving for the match, and he cracked a little bit. Missed a routine backhand on match point, then missed a forehand swinging volley with the court wide open on break point to drop the game. Then got broken again to lose the set. Going the distance. |

Match of the year? What a future and present these two have. Men's game is in great hands as Nadal and Federer leave the scene soon, with Djokovic later. These young guys' mental level is champion-level, and there were so many instances in this match that they demonstrated that time and again.
I also don't mind one bit that Alcaraz should be a little tired so Tiafoe can take advantage. Go Foe! Get that Roddick mojo going, get the Slam and get into top 10 and contend for Slams for a long time along with these two. |
