Monty played for the win... he fouled Bacon so he couldn't take the three.

We need to get in the winning mentality.

This isn't Sean McVay's Super Bowl Rams... this is a team that needs confidence and a change of mindset.

The players that are actually going to play are getting it done that’s really all I care about preseason doesn’t really mean much for me

It's not the players, insomuch as it's that they don't have any creators on the floor, and they don't know how to play together. So, it results in a lot of stagnant dribbling, and forced/contested shots.

That’s why they are not NBA players, can’t create and can’t run offense.

You're missing the point. They're NBA players, just not NBA ready. Not yet. I'm not expecting rookies to be able to run an offense, when the team as a whole hasn't had the benefit of getting Hamm's offense down. Deer in headlights is to be expected. Pippen has promise, but I really like Christie. Just needs some G-League run.

No, they are playing with the lakers summer league team (essentially), and they were playing against same G league players.
Pippen Jr is lacking PG creativity(especially off the dribble), low percentage chucker
Christie so far looks like poor man’s Anthony Brown. I thought he was good on defense before, but Shamet exposed his weakness which is defending off the screens.
I will gladly eat my words when either one of these 2 makes it to the main team and be a contributor

This game was much better than game 1... but we aren't a dominant team who can just give away even preseason wins.

We need to learn to compete every game.

Last year's Rams could tank preseason games

This team needs to get in the habit of winning again.

Huff looked clunkier than I remember. I wonder...his knee was all wrapped up I wonder if that's bothering him. Anyway I hope he can shave, clean himself up, and pull it together in the preseason.

NUNN played great, so did reaves, but it looks like we will run 2PGs on the floor all the time during regular season when DS comes back. Guys like walker and reaves will be forced to the 3, this is not ideal, but one thing going for us is that most of the 2s in the NBA are smaller nowadays, so it wouldn’t be as big of an issue like 10-15 years ago.

Took Day to Davis one preseason half

Edit: I agree that this team needs a win in preseason. Winless preseasons are for championship defending teams who don’t play any starters.

This is a team that hasn’t proven anything other than they are closer to the lottery than the top 4 in the West.

Per Goon

Darvin Ham said he’s going to stick to the plan not to play AD, LeBron or Russ tomorrow. Patrick Beverley is “50-50” for tomorrow’s game against his former team Minnesota.

Really? He was the scrubbiest of all. He even foul Pippen in that rebound to go for the lead.

Yeah, Nunn looking great out there has increased my excitement for the season, it’s like trading for a new player during the summer.

Well now is the time. He's got to look at lineup combinations and the new guys and who staying and who's going and who's potentially playing where & when. He can't be doing all that experimenting for months and months on end when the actually games count. As much as I liked Vogel I do think that was one of his not great tendencies was to experiment for too long into the actual season. (Constant injuries of course did not help but ykwim)

Yea, he thinks it's easy to just change the lineup all the time and hope to find one that works. If last season was any indication, lineup shuffling negatively affected chemistry and led to poor performance.

If he's going to start Russ, then start him for the whole season. Don't just threaten to replace a starter if he doesn't play well. He might end up changing the lineup every week.

Awesome performance tonight by the team. Obviously it would have been nice to get the W, but great game nonetheless.

We have some players closing pre season games who will not be getting much floor time come regular season, but the defensive effort is looking revived and the offense has good movement when key players are playing.

There is hope they will get better and better as the season goes on and we get our full team out there, barring any injuries.
