Hopefully the mods allow this, seeing how the general NBA discussion section is empty.

Opening night matchups:

Celtics vs Sixers
Lakers vs Warriors

How are they still good even with a coach that's probably younger than Lebron? Looks like they might repeat as East champs this year. Or maybe Doc Rivers is a terrible coach like I've always suggested. How do you not have a dominating team with Embiid and Harden? Simmons is good. It was the coach that was bad.

The Buck Foston's look deep and talented. And their stars played like stars; Tatum & Brown 35 each.

They’re a talented team why is this so surprising? I mean when Kerr was out with health problems the Warriors were still good. I agree Doc sucks though. I think people overlook how the Celtics were fortunate other teams had injuries they had luck on their side.

Pretty good stat lines from Brown and Tatum, but the Celtics bench was the difference. Williams and Brogdon combined for 31 points, while the entire Sixers bench scored 11.

Sixers are too top heavy with little to no bench depth. They should seriously consider bringing Maxey or Tobias off of the bench. I don't know what it is about Doc Rivers but his team is gonna implode again in the playoffs. Probably wasn't the best idea to throw Simmons under the bus. They look atrocious on defense.

Some teams look good and some teams look bad. It's too early to tell how it's going to be. I do know that certain teams are too talented to be bad this season (Pels, Hawks, Nuggets, Wolves, etc).

The replay system is working out great. They really can’t fix that call?
