Musk paid $44 billion for Twitter. He finally told us why. To try to put a party in place. A party that favors persons of his ilk, the haves. He's boldly posted on Twitter "Vote Republican."His reason for voting for a Republican Congress is that the Presidency is Democratic makes no sense.

.

It makes sense in that he wants debate and consensus about bills instead of one party ramming things through without opposition. He expects a Republican Senate and Biden to have to work together for accomplishments. In reality I don’t see a Republican Senate working with Biden nor do I expect Biden to work with a Republican Senate. Unfortunately the days of Tip and Newt putting their differences aside to accomplish things are long gone.

You do know that's disingenuous BS on his part and that's not his true motivation at all . . . right?

How many advertisers will it take to have Musk change course?

It’s kind of fun to watch Elmo change the rules over and over as people find new ways to mess with him.

The awesome irony of the situation is that the media writing about Twitter/me failing nonstop is driving massive growth in Twitter!

This may be but users don't add up to dollars. It's my understanding Twitter is losing advertisers, meaning it's losing money. It's rumored Musk is thinking about bankrupting Twitter, with emphasis on rumor.

The company is being as well run as somebody who didn't want to own it in the first place.

I guess it's what you call being well run.

He was probably high or sleep deprived when he bidded $54.20 per share for the company. Anyways when you fire half of the company, people aren't going to run to apply for a job there when it looks like its a sinking ship.

What contradiction? He fired a bunch of people that he didn't feel fit the culture he's trying to instill. Now he's trying to hire some people from youtube that fit the culture he's trying to implement.

There are a couple like Mastadon and Tribel, but as the name would indicate in the second case, they are mostly echo chambers of hive minded people rather places for meaningful discussion. This place gets described as such, but it’s incredibly diverse and contentious (in a productive way) compared to the ones I’ve checked out.

He didn't want to own it for $44 billion. He was going to lose in court so he sucked it up and bought it. Now he's running it like he has no clue why those policies were implemented.

Read it again. I didn't say it was well run. I said it was run like somebody who didn't want to own the damn place.

Elmo bullied and blustered and mismanaged his way into having to cover his stupid offer, and he too narcissistic and stubborn to stand down on his bs, so he’s sabotaging his own asset to own the libs.

And he's doing a great job at the first part, but failing at the second.

One of best friends back in LA is an evil lib like me and is a proud Tesla owner but still advocates for Musk because "Musk is trying to save the world from climate change" . . . of course he shuts up when I point out that Musk wants to privatize living on Mars as an alternative to living on this planet.

This was probably inevitable. Sociopathy, insecurity, and an army of worshippers have led to this. He couldn't have just stayed a successful CEO of a huge company.

I think the Aspergers disconnect with societal acceptability plays a factor, though it's certainly not an excuse.

OK. My confusion was fostered by being as well run as
