A python's last big meal was a doozy. Look what scientists found when they opened him up. CNN's Jeanne Moos reports.

Burmese pythons are the new apex predators in Flo Rida. There's a YT channel where biologists studying the impact of the Burmese on native wildlife splay out dead big Bertha pythons before their eggs had a chance to hatch. It's a thing they do for news crews, they have a buncha dead pythons w/ egg mounds in a sciency room, can't find the actual channel, but they show the peeps in this vid here. It's disgusting to see about a dozen 15+ foot pythons w/ 150 eggs in their guts, but its a visceral display of how nothing is safe from them. They have devastated bird rookeries apparently, but then they advance up the food chain til they are only left w/ deer and gators. Only benefit is that they eat racoons, possums, and skunks, which shouldn't exist as things. A possum shouldn't be a thing outside of the realm of nightmares.

My daughter loves a possum. She might cry if she got to pet one.

A few years ago at about 2AM, I heard this knocking on the sliding glass door and I thought I was gonna turn on the light and see a guy w/ a hammer (either that or a homeless person w/ a knife), but it was two possums fighting w/ each other and banging into the glass. They were biting the sh out of each other and not making a sound. One would bite into the other hard and then grind its neck around. They weren't making the slightest squeal of pain. Not of this earth, the possums.
